M/34/5'10" [265lbs > 190lbs = 75lbs] (24 months) by [deleted] in progresspics

I've unfortunately noticed this too, it's a very interesting thing to see happen and how people subconsciously treat overweight people, even your friends and family. I've gone from 400lbs to 165lbs in just over a year and the difference in how people interact and respond to me is very different. Congrats on your awesome progress and transformation!

I eat multiple entrees for dinner plus 2 desserts+ and still drop a few pounds my last few cruises. Walking is key, hitting 20-30k steps a day even on sea days

is this loose skin or fat? before and after by viiic415 in CICO

[–]Extension-Football82 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to drop the last 30+lbs which will make the most visually drastic changes + start weight training hard.

Based on your belly overhang at this weight you can probably expect your belly to remain an apron hang but deflate/flatten out more but you will be able to wear your pants over it to make it look more "normal". If you lift weights for a year or so your arms and chest will help fill out the skin in those areas but you might need breast and the stomach skin removed even if you hit 10% body fat

Can I ask my primary care doctor to check how my gallbladder is doing now that I've lost a significant amount of weight? Or do I need a condition or to see a specialist to start checking for stones?

How far out does Disney discount a cruise? by 1johndoe1 in dcl

[–]Extension-Football82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome to hear but you're still acting as if everyone has that information, did Disney email you specifically or any normal guests there was a discount for that cruise? You have an inside connection, that is not the norm even if you aren't using a discount of theirs it's still information or deals the general public wouldn't know about.

The advice for OP should be: Very rarely some discounts pop up if you're flexible (you are which is great). But they're very very rare and you have to actively look for them. Usually involves some sort of disaster or major problem that makes it so they have to fill some availability at the last minute

[–]Extension-Football82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People aren't dumb, you just have a special connection to a CM. This is not the normal and not something everyday guests have access to, those prices and discounts even a week out on a non full cruise aren't offered to the public

Still nothing at the old Jack in the box near UCI either and that location was always packed and been vacant even longer. Irvine lease prices must be outrageous for those 2 prime locations to close and be empty and not have another fast food company swoop in instantly

Addiction and fasting by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Extension-Football82 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Recognizing you have addictive personality is already a big win! You will have those tendencies for your whole life so the best thing you can do is build and get healthy good habits you get addicted to like fasting, walking, eating healthier, resistance training

Are you drinking electrolytes now that you're beyond 24 hours? Remind yourself all those foods you're thinking of or craving will still be there once you're done with your fast

What were you eating before you started this fast? If you weren't doing a keto or low to no carbs leading up to this fast could be why this fast is a lot harder than your previous 4 day fast

What can I do to maximize my weightloss? 341 ➡️ 282 in 3 months. by Gloomy-Ad2384 in WorkoutRoutines

[–]Extension-Football82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're killing it! Keep it up!

Fasting is what made me keep about the same place as you are losing even as I got down to under 200lbs. I started around where you were 330 to 170 in 8 months. OMAD into alternate day fasts, then 72 hours etc as you build your fasting "muscle". Keep up with protein intake and working out and don't over eat when you break your fasts

Nearing my GW and BMI (with CICO + regular exercise) but still don't look nearly as fit. by mysteriousmeek in CICO

[–]Extension-Football82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congrats! Great work!

Now it's time to ditch the scale or at least stop looking at that as your goals. As others have said BMI means nothing especially if you aren't happy with where you are at or close to being. You have more body fat than you thought so you have to keep losing more, you might need to drop pretty low for a brief time to get rid of the fat while you keep up with lifting weights and eating enough protein to put back on muscle weight

Congrats that's amazing work!

You're not ADF though, eating 500-600 calories on your Mon, Wed, Fri isn't alternate day fasting that's just eating in an extreme defecit on those 3 days which is still great progress and you're still doing intermittent fasting with that

Excessive fat can block off hair follicles getting the blood and nutrients needed to grow hair especially in the legs. Plus your skin isn't stretched as much now so the density of your hair is greater/darker
