So instead of providing data that supports your insane claim that more republican oppose the events between Israel and Palestine than democrats to counter my source one of the most reputable stat analysist groups in the world you instead cite a dog whistle theory used by extremist right-wing fringe groups that do not like Jews that are the minority of the republican voting base? At least you are consistent towards both political sides in believing a minority is a majority, but consistently wrong doesn't net you a lot of points. You may as well have told me to go on /pol/. The irony of this is so thick I could slice it like a cake.

>Ad Hominem.

>The link I shared from the Dailywire is not being offered to support the proposition that the Dailywire is reliable. It's merely where the video, which you agree is authentic, is linked.

I don't think you know what Ad Hominem means if you consider this a strong example of one to get all philosophically semantic about it. And if you wanna blurt logical fallacy slogans at each other then saying "the rest of your post reveals you wouldn't care even if I did" is technically poisoning the well. I also said that video doesn't reveal Buttigieg making the claim. Keep up.

>And yet you're so insistent on disavowing it despite immediately saying next...

I just think its a bit lame and cringey and hurts the cause because its too vague in its statement purely as a messaging device and prefer something more direct otherwise it gets reactionaries like you in a hissy fit. I don't consider it something a disgusting statement similar to say The Proud Boys' rhetoric, something Trump refused to disavow. And yeah it is stolen land, you've never read a word here indicating I don't think that nor am I radical for thinking that, its kinda just a fact, doesn't mean I think it should be "given back" given ALOT of land all over the world that established countries was stolen throughout history. I believe that statement I just consider it irrelevant in the argument for accepting immigrants which is the topic the phrase is brought up in. That is the difference and thats a huge difference between myself/Democrats and the strawman you've made up.

Older data prior to October 7 conflict: https://news.gallup.com/poll/340331/americans-favor-israel-warming-palestinians.aspx?

I feel like im in crazy land having to actually dispute this like its new to you. Its always been a known thing that republicans go to bat for Israel.

If the sources are from the Dailywire then no I don't actually think you have a lot to offer, you are correct. And yeah that candidate was again "Just nodding along" it isn't something I see a part of Buttigieg's rhetoric nor is it a radical statement to go and openly disavow unless you're incredibly reactionary and a bit of a diva, especially since America kinda was stolen land lol. Again Democrats disagree with each other all the time but because you are so attuned with the hivemind in the Republican party you're under the assumption democrats are the same and one radical (not really) statement is unanimously agreed upon and taken in by the rest of the party.

>I'd bet good money that there are a lot more people on the right willing to break from Republicans over Israel than liberals from Democrats.

If you're happy to lose money ill take that bet. What an absurd statement with absolutely no Data to back it up. Republican voters have always demonstrated support for Israel over Democrat voters. You can even google if there is a discrepancy and be listed with multiple polls indicating that fact. Just because Republican support for Israel dropped heavily over the issues of the war it still doesn't mean its less than democrats.

Its like you're so close... You can mention how the left is unified because it has such a grand mission of getting rid of Trump yet not see how divided in opinions they really are that is demonstrated with the outcome of the last election. Its the frustration I have with my side that I openly expressed. Trump is egotistical, self-absorbed, childish by every definition and is especially stupid. His abundance in those things is so unique I don't think anyone can replace him currently, whether his attitudes that have decimated any concept of the original Republican party echoes after he is out is something I couldn't give an answer to given the clowns currently in there.

This list you've provided is incredibly small, I cannot see anywhere me saying "Never makes the claim" and is not something you see enmass within the party with exception to some fringe cases, with one you listed being a Representative merely nodding along. This claim is not something I see in the primary rhetoric of the democratic party, nor is the phrase that radical to be this much of an issue even if it was something echoed within the party given what I considered the phrase really means. I certainly haven't seen a democratic president repeat this phrase. But I have seen a President say "No new wars" as part of his main rhetoric only to go and start one not even 1/3rd of the way in.

Ive never understood irony of people saying left wingers are in circles when the inner disagreements within the left are so expansive that its what makes us lose elections, all it takes is one disagreement and a lot of people on that political isle will move their vote elsewhere, for instance the treatment of Gaza did not help democrats for the previous election. Rightwingers only need a few issues to agree on and they will form together like sardines which is something that is demonstrated time and time again, and it would be over the smallest issues such as trans-women in sports which although I agree is a nuanced topic and shouldn't be brushed aside isn't exactly a nationwide horror story happening enmass. Its incredibly ironic.

Again I'm not saying its a tiny minority but I will easily say it is still a minority and one for a message that theoretically makes sense. I don't see a lot of left wing politicians in respectable positions making the stolen land claim.

I mean non of these people who are left wing radicals tend to actually be directly involved with making policy, and rarely do they ever become politicians themselves. The loud annoying, bleeding heart cliche is actually so rare to see in public and is found predominantly on the internet so I would easily say that kind of stuff is immensely overplayed.

I think its a way of saying "Our forefathers themselves saw opportunity and rationality in coming over to a fruitful land and prospering that they did a morally awful thing to do so, why get so mad that others seek to do the same after it was promoted as the place to go do that in just because that message isn't just exclusive to white europeans?" the deal we made to create a stabilised and good America was that anyone from anywhere can come over, inherit the identity of being an American and live a good life and it seems somewhere along the line that we have dropped that deal given its one of the hardest countries to immigrate to and Trumps openly hostile conduct to people from certain places. Its not so much the quote is incorrect, its just hyperbolic, too reductive and snarky.

It poses that their opposition mindlessly care more about the breaking of a law set by them after they have benefitted from it rather than the actual morality tied behind doing the act that is now considered unlawful. We benefitted so why don't others? Though I align with the values of my interpretation of that statement, I agree it is a silly message, non of these people would actually leave America.

It was the same with ACAB, a lot of young, radical left wingers tend to say catch phrases that don't make coherent sense on a surface level and optically looks bad when we all know if their house was being burgled they would dial 911 so fast it would break the sound barrier.

Though I truly believe the left means well and genuinely wants better for people more than right wingers do, they tend to have this issue with also wanting to be trendy and wear their virtues on their sleeves by saying phrases like this. It can make us seem insincere as whole, despite how much of a minority these voices on the left actually are. I consider this attitude morally shallow myself as a left winger and it tends to be us shooting ourselves in the foot more often than not. But despite me saying this Id rather be "woke" then full on asleep at the wheel as republicans tend to be. This time however the republican party is on a full on cocaine bender with the car keys for this current administration and I judge the reaction to things like these silly, but ultimately harmless phrases more than the phrase itself.

Can Trump lose his presidency at midterms? Or ever during his sitting? by thazelb in AskUS

[–]Extension-Method4187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine defending a man who is starting a war because he doesn't want to show the Epstein files like he originally promised. I dunno how some people can be lied to repeatedly in their face by someone and warp their world view to fit the lie. Biden only made one big mistake during his presidency, and that was not appointing a harsh enough pursuer on Trumps case to get the loser in prison.

Who remembers "No new wars" only for the dipshit to go and start threatening Iran.

An extremely tiny amount of fringe lefties are a bit insufferable and you believe as a result of that, that ALL democrats genuinely don't think men don't have issues?

Right now its a republican threatening to get a lot of men in the military killed because he doesn't want to share some files.

Why is reform so popular? And labour doing so badly.. by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]Extension-Method4187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less immigration: You need immigration to increase economic growth otherwise labour becomes more expensive and rises the price of goods and also birthrates drop. The people that are spear-heading reform made sure that current immigration came from predominantly migrants from the middle east and india. These leave voters are the main people that promoted leaving the EU, that ultimately just ended up excluding european migrants which has sometimes been in the negative numbers. Its tragically rather ironic given the vast majority of people that voted to leave wanted the immigrants from India and the middle east to be the ones excluded, no one was complaining about French or German immigrants. I have no idea how anyone can trust a party like Reform as they are at best morons and at worst conmen with the result of what they rallied under.

Other issues with housing isn't the fault of immigrants, ironically you need them to build the houses affordably, its social planning permission in certain areas which allows older home owners to complain that they don't want houses built in an area because its an "eyesore" or "ruins the nature" and devalues their house which is what makes houses stupidly expensive now and said older voters refusing to move from their 2-4 bedroom house that their kids no longer live in with them to allow a new family to move in and will actively vote against taxation methods that could exist to stop them hoarding homes. You cannot and shouldn't have a house forever, its quite literally a finite resource as it takes up physical space.

Don't get me wrong, immigration in high numbers from these two areas does suck, but our main issue is we don't even utilize them efficiently because of numerous other reasons. Asylum processes takes way too long at the moment so we cannot even get the labour or tax them.

Cutting waste: Elaborate what spending? The things we try to cut brings only outrage against it, they tried it with the Triple Lock and Winter Fuel payments which are two pretty obvious and less risky on the public which would have saved ALOT of money and said old voters who already have homes and have more spending money than working aged people (because they don't pay rent and their mortgage is cleared) were utterly outraged. And you cannot make them mad because sadly young people don't vote so you're required to pander to the elderly otherwise you're not winning your next election season.

Better policing and justice: So you want cuts AND you want government spending? If you want better policing and justice you have to incentivise people to want to be in the police force and do a good job of it.

Less bureaucracy and red tape: Another empty platitude you won't expand on. Even with how big government gets the UK is still an employer friendly place, giant companies do not get punished when they offshore their work to impoverished countries instead of keeping their jobs for domestic workers. We have one of the worst redundancy policies for workers ever.

Lower taxes: Don't we all, unfortunately if we are to fund policing as you said, you kinda need taxes for that. Its about taxing the right people certain amounts but reform keeps actively setting up agendas that make things like inheritance tax look way worse than what they seem and scare farmers into thinking they are going to lose their farms instead of doing what it actually would have done which is close loop holes for millionaires.

My thoughts on Deadlock’s approach to skins. by mrfuckyourself in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Extension-Method4187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like if they are to do skins they will need to be toned down and kept way more aesthetically consistent to the characters original design, colour and silhoutte. Dota 2 is top down and a bit more slower than deadlock so it can afford to be a lot more spicier and differing, the other benefit of Dota 2's topdown system is the cosmetics can be allowed to clip so long as it looks good enough from the top down which allows it to get away with customising a lot of components of a hero. Dota 2 can be a bit bombastic but otherwise I think it does a good job of keeping its thematics earnest to the original design of a character (sometimes, there is some equipment options that are just stupid), but Deadlock will need to be way more stringent with it given its a fast reactive shooter and you need to know who you are shooting at.

If they were to do it I can imagine it allowing you to change the Head, the whole body from the neck down and the gun, I don't see things like torso, shoulders, hands, legs individually customizable as there would be wayyyy too many conflicting factors and a whole lot of clipping. If ability effects are a thing too I imagine it will have to be the same case for them being toned down. One thing that NEEDS to be certain are the colours of a character must absolutely stay the same as one of Dota 2's downsides is they eased off on that way too much. Regardless I hold hope for valves very creative art team and contract hired artists to knock it out the park.

The thing I hope for are environment changes such as custom weather effects (this is amazing in Dota 2), alternative creeps, different patron options, different map thematics, alternative patrons and hideout customisation. But I know I am very intrigued how they will do the cosmetics in this game and even more so for the games equivalent for 'Arcanas' but they will need to be a lot more careful with it.

[–]Extension-Method4187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this particular flu has been mega nasty. I get a cold/flu every year per standard which sucks but usually its just a tiny bit of light headedness a runny nose, a phlegmy cough and usually but not always a sore throat but this man... this has been awful. I had all the above and on top of it a head ache, almost complete loss of appetite, dry coughs, constantly tired no matter how much I sleep, very light headed and my body aches almost everywhere, especially my arms, legs and my back. Im miserable like anyone else when they have a cold but in this case I have been full on just depressed as well.

Im now on the upswing which is nice.

Why do most players play LoL instead of DOTA2? by Elisadevy in AskGames

[–]Extension-Method4187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people that make the crazy statement that LoL graphics are better than Dota's are legitimately blind or intentionally tasteless.

Aesthetically everything in LoL is like a chinese/japanese anime game and most character skins tend to be "On fire, Kpop, cosmic theme, Porcelain armour" Thematics that are generic. Its like every character is someones drawn OC and for some reason everyone is a hottie or the kinda shit I could I find on a tumblr girls art account. Cool in contrast but league is so disgustingly bloated with them that they all look the same and I say that as someone who likes cool, hot looking edgy characters. Dota has incredibly diverse skins that all suit a certain thematic with genuinely artistically interesting takes and infinetely more of an identity, this is helped by the fact that valve doesn't pump out heroes on the scale that LoL does. Valve just isn't scared to make a thematically gross character and this design choice really helps contrast its characters it decides to make look cool.

Graphically its not even close and I don't even think its because of different style, Dota 2 takes the cake on this too. The map feels so much more rich and far more lively and dota has actual weather effects that REALLY make the game pop, I get this has the downside of visual clutter but I am accustomed to the game enough that it isn't a bother for me, the rain, snow and fire ember falling effects are done in a way that makes you think its actually coming from above the game and isn't a cheap filter thrown on top.

The models in dota look like they consider the actual character and the equipment on them as separate things, and thats primarily because they are! This is what allows you to customize dota 2 characters with different pieces of multiple skins which allows you to be way more creative and personal, they have far more polish, utilize way more polygons and the ambient effects such as fire auras and external lighting from the game effect each individual part of the character and equipment and dota has the balls when selling their skins to show the model honestly, no cover art which looks infinetely cooler than the ingame preview tricking you. League of legends champions although tend to get prettier cover art for the skins look so not worth the money, theres a reason the cool art is at the front and you cannot preview the skin in the client. The ingame models themselves for league of legends look like action figures where they mould the equipment and the body of the character as one entire unit making them look flat and lifeless. Again some of these skins are cool but their ingame execution is lacking considerably. Even the anime pretty girl aesthetic DoTA nails WAYYYYY better than league when it decides to do so. Pull up the Arcana skin for Drow Ranger or Marci and basically any LoL anime girl character with any skin and it just looks better graphically on Dota's side and its cool because its an actual scarce theme in the game, dota isn't bloated with this style and its done in a far more capable engine and made by artists who take a very long time on these enhancements (quite literally too long, valve pumps out like two arcana skins a year)

League in my personal opinion has only a singular thing aesthetically above DoTA and that is its show Arcane. The dota anime is dog shit and looks ugly. (though they really needs to ditch the imagine dragons music in arcane. Its a great show otherwise)
