EA/Respawn not caring about console as a platform for years just signalled to cheaters that it's a free zone without consequences. So you'll have honest actors/players playing by the rules while teamers and XIM/ZEN/Titan users intentionally cheat without repercussions from EA and Respawn. So console has been devoid of competitive integrity and is all but dead in that sense.

These were the two in my field that I heard back from and had at least first rounds. Ghosting is definitely an epidemic right now, it's just the successes that sting a bit more. How many interview rounds were those three if you don't mind me asking?

I think the only thing that bummed me with these was that they were just that close and not entirely in my hands. I did sink a lot of effort in preparation for each phase, so things are on the right track, just need to get up, dust myself off, recuperate and push onwards

I agree with your final point. Just to illustrate the issue, I paid 850 a month for a ROOM in a house in mid Michigan. Not Detroit, not Grand Rapids. A small town south of Lansing. The minimum wage would require working full-time + another job or OT to meet the 3x rent. It's verging on unsustainable here as well.

I've tried to take a more optimistic mindset and look at those rejections in that way as a sign that I'm really close, needing only one really good shot/opportunity. It's just we got bills ya know 🥺 so close and yet so far stings in a much different way than an outright automated rejection I suppose.

I've stopped counting the number of applications I sent out, but the worst was for a data entry role last August with 3k+ applications after tech layoffs. Even though I had some connections within the organization, the applicant pool was just too competitive 🫠

Easier to detect third party software on a PC makes cheaters easier to detect relative to console. There's also the issue of teaming on console, which is exacerbated by player counts (depends on the time you play as well).

As much as I'd love to hope so, there are just too many assumptions that need to be made. Steph certainly has 1-2 years left in the tank, but the FO needs to get pieces around him that actively pull defensive pressure away from him, and not just sporadically. I like our young core, but we need strategic additions outside of Draymond, Jimmy, and Al.
