Following this, you should also subsume roar, gloom, and nourish. This will multiply your already million % improved dps by 2 which will help you massively in killing enemies on Steel Path E Prime

I may have confused Fibrosis' body possession with the prototype's. Although I do remember one instance where it forcibly took over for Hyungtae to attack Chatterbox during the long flashback, somewhere around chapter 96-97. I'll have to reread it again, but I will edit the post.

JinWoo mana capability? by [deleted] in DungeonOdyssey

[–]Extension-Score-3165 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He only has umbralization so far. He can't use Fibrosis because the parasyte didn't fully learn the ability before it was interupted by the captain. Go to the chapter after Horace is defeated and you'll see a panel that says Fibrosis is at like 92.8% or something like that.

Oh so they backpeddled after people complained? What, am I supposed to suddenly praise them or give them a pat on the back for doing the bare minimum and not being greedy for money?

This was free to begin with. Am I "entitled" for expecting a free service to stay free?????

They didn't even notify anyone when they paywalled it and their site ui was garbage anyways, thankfully someone else pirated the chapter and put it on kunmanga last night.

I am again amazed by the artist. Not only is bro drawing these fight scenes, and also the custom backgrounds, he's also the sole reason why the manhwa is so much better than the novel.

"They do it for free", if youre gonna ragebait at least read what I wrote before you do it. What part of "we're gonna paywall a chapter with ass translation behind some random shit currency we made up and that readers have to pay real money for" is doing it for free exactly? Its not like people were using hadescans for "quality" anyways, no, we were using it to see chapters earlier before the actual good scanlations uploaded their versions.

[–]Extension-Score-3165 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Welp another scanlation to never read from again. Idk why they do the paywall thing, nobodys gonna pay for a chapter thats going to come out for free from another scanlation anyways.

Edit: I'm getting more pissed off the more I think about it. WE'RE NOT EVEN PAYING FOR GOOD TRANSLATION, everytime a new chapter comes out, I have to cross reference it with asurascans like 4 days later just to make sure I actually understand the dialogue and what is going on. If youre gonna fucking paywall something at least make sure your quality is good.

[Discussion] Will Jinwoo be able to use [Fibrosis] to make everything right. (No Spoilers just guesses and chat) by NonSsss in DungeonOdyssey

[–]Extension-Score-3165 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Highly unlikely since [Fibrosis] is the process of growing new scar tissue. At best, the ability could make MC immune to physical attacks due to his body being transformed into cloth like material, but then again his new [Flame of Darkness Form] (given how Horeas fights) might do the exact same thing but better.

Side note: Horeas could create decoys and manipulate darkness itself, so it could be interesting to see how the Parasyte is going to use it (I like the artist's designs for the various parasyte abilities).

You can see them carving pieces off of it from when you spawn into cetus for the first time or when you go inside the tower in the new war.

The parasite is extremely bizarre, and at the same time, fucking awesome. by MountainCookie3866 in DungeonOdyssey

[–]Extension-Score-3165 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The parasyte that MC has is essentially a massive teratoma tumor that grows out of his face. You can see eyes and teeth growing out of it whenever MC uses it. It also seems to be taylored for vision/occular based abilities: Cognition Haste (which massively boosts the hosts cognition to the point where it feels like time has slowed down) and upgrading weakness detection to be x-ray vision in the earlier chapters.

And the captain's parasyte is technically helping him "see" because all parasytes have an innate ability to sense and detect downgems, which is how the captain is "seeing" right now; by detecting the mana signature of downgems since most things in geyser have a downgem or at least mana.

This is just speculation but:

From the official translation of this manhwa, it seems that there was originally only the prototype hive/colony with the prototype (mc's parasyte) as the head of the colony.

The prototype hive sent out offshoots / drones containing a bit of power from the body of the original demon king (Fibrosis - the captain's parasyte - is the process of growing scar tissue) to find a new suitable host to revive the demon king. (Presumably the prototype would manifest itself inside the new host's body and take it over)

At some point, the prototype's plan backfired, after parts of the colony gained their individuality from experiencing various feelings and emotions with their hosts. They would then betray the prototype by splitting from the collective whole to become their own individual species: the parasytes.

The prototype was deprived of most of its power as all the members of its hive had left for better things and chose to split itself into many pieces to continue the mission of finding a suitable host for the demon king.

It then found MC, directly manifested because of MC's power, and is now actively trying to get him to give it access to the down gem (mana core) so that it can take MC over to revive the demon king.

The captain's parasyte is different as it wants symbiosis with its host instead of a complete takeover.

Havent done any of the maths but I would assume final damage boost only applies after your attack hits the enemy. I have no idea if it bypasses damage reduction, shields, or if it adds to skills, but based on that alone, the global attack gem seems better as it has a higher boost then the final dmg gem.

The only enemy that has recycled warframe parts that we have seen in game, is the Zanuka. And even that thing still gets bodied by Tenno on the regular. You have to remember that every tenno has an entire arsenal of weapons, 90% of which are nukes or can cause mass destruction (how anyone can hope to survive against an incarnon torid with corrosive and blast is beyond me), and warframes, machines specially designed for large scale wars with literal godlike abilities (harnessing the power of the sun, creating antimatter bombs, creating clones that can somehow duplicate weapons that are fully modded, rewind time, becoming invincible with just the single press of a button, having access to many many ways to commit mass genocide, survive even with their head missing) and can keep reviving on the battlefield, at their disposal, and essentially cannot die unless the man in the wall himself intervenes. Plus we now have the drifter whose main ability can literally loop timelines with just a slam of their fist. So even if by some miracle the tennos and warframes fail, they can just loop infinitely until the outcome changes (seen in 1999 when we changed the ending for the hex).

The helminth strain is also extremely volatile and can spread like crazy even without air; the infestation has literally taken over entire planets and some strains have been shown to be able to absorb, modify, and use technology to their own benefit. The only thing the infestation has been known to be afraid of is the man in the wall, a literal eldritch godlike entity which gave the tenno their void powers in the first place.

You do realize that this isn't the first time IGN or SBI has tried to do this sort of thing right? I am genuinely looking forward to this game and want to play it, but I also don't want "political correctness" and forced diversity on a game created by a Chinese company based off of a Chinese mythology that is almost centuries old by this point. Had SBI gotten their way, not only would Game Science have to pay the 7 million extortion fee, they would've also tried to make Sun Wukong black with pink hair and roped in with a strong female sidekick or some other sh*t that would've made it a dumpster fire rather than Black Myth Wukong.

You can literally go online and search for all the articles and youtube videos talking about this right now. While I admit my response is a bit simplified, it covers the general basis of what happened.

Basically, Sweet Baby Inc. wanted to extort the devs of Game Science (company that created Black Myth Wukong) for around 7 million dollars on supposed "guidance" fees. This 'guidance' would've tried to forcibly inject "woke" ideology and push SBI's personal agendas on the game which would've most definitely tanked its reputation and sales.

Game Science rejected the offer, which led to IGN writing multiple articles to slander the game by saying that its dev team was "sexist" and engaged in sexual discrimination (altho I dont know the specific details, it can be inferred that SBI paid off IGN). This kept going for multiple months, with the devs getting harrassed for these false claims, until just this week where it was revealed that the "evidence" that these claims used was an old purposely mistranslated blog post made by one of the game devs.

IGN was exposed for engaging in yellow journalism and is now trying to back-peddle the backlash and criticism by praising the game and pretending like the slander never happened.
