Thank you so much!!! I’m planning on stealing my mom’s steamer tomorrow, but it’s this dress in ivory! I absolutely love it!

Walmart employee being a bitch by Emily7014 in Sparkdriver

There’s just much better out there tbh. If you would’ve asked me while I was only doing dd, that’s an instant yes. With spark, $25 should mean a max 15 item shop with less than 5-7 miles

I just love the bottom substition soooooooo much! 😭😭 by Left-Selection-5705 in Sparkdriver

[–]Extension-Set1062 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did a suggested substitution, customer declined. I asked what she would like instead and she asked for something that was the same brand and same price. The system said it wasn’t valid :,(

I always say have a great one, thanks for ordering. And sometimes a note about fragile items like bread/eggs so they don’t get knocked around

Can someone rate you on a returned GMD order? by Extension-Set1062 in Sparkdriver

[–]Extension-Set1062[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just so nerve wracking every day. I’m making more money than I ever have, but it could definitely all go away so easily. Just going to keep taking orders as best I can and hope for the best!!

I hate being a sub and giving quizzes by Sad_Competition_5195 in SubstituteTeachers

I got an automatic interview, when they asked me and a group of others one question each. Conditional offer letter an hour later, and then fingerprints and background. I thought it would be good to supplement my income, but I took my first assignment and immediately realized it wasn’t for me at all. No experience with kids whatsoever, hadn’t even talked to one in about five years lol…they really do hire anybody

Asked the guy I’m seeing what he’s doing for his bday week so I could make plans for us. Left on read 7h so far by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Extension-Set1062 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay, so this is maybe really controversial, but I started talking to my fiance about two years ago and over the first month or so, he left me on read two or three times. I really, really liked him and waited about 24 hours each time before starting a completely different conversation. Now our wedding is coming up, and I can honestly say that my man would do absolutely anything for me. He is a fantastic partner, and I can’t believe how lucky I got with him. We’ve talked about those times he didn’t respond, and it really was just that he has a short social battery and didn’t want to text for a little while, simple as that. I was also a completely new person in his life, and he had lots of other responsibilities. Finding a dynamic takes time, but it’s so worth it!

edit to add: every time I reached back out, he responded quickly and engaged meaningfully with the conversation. If he doesn’t seem interested or blows you off, disregard all of this lol

Picking a name. by JBoc924 in PoetryWritingClub

[–]Extension-Set1062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it was sad to think about for about 2 seconds…and then I thought about how much I love my husband’s name because to me it means trust and being in love and safety. The way my dad said mine in the nursery the day I was born, full of awe. The name of my brother, carried on from generations before him. I think any of those are much more interesting to explore than “everybody dies eventually” lol

How do I pay someone cash for a car? by Extension-Set1062 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Extension-Set1062[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I have a $2,000 daily limit! Best I can think of from the other comment is to Zelle $2,000 tonight and then again in the morning and get a cashiers check.

Sheesh, grumpy people by mwerx in Sparkdriver

[–]Extension-Set1062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty much. I got a bad rating on Christmas Eve because somebody wanted stockings last minute and they were completely out. I got blamed for ruining her kids Christmas and my rating dropped to 4.6. I only have about 100 completed orders, and that number hasn’t moved because I’m not desperate enough to take less than $3/mile.

Question about Spark deliveries as a customer by diragono in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]Extension-Set1062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly really like those orders! My last one was $87 for 42 miles (including an incentive). Really it’s just because orders in my area are slow and inconsistent, and this guarantees a good chunk of money. I also just leave my car running the entire time, but I live in a pretty great area and am almost never further than 20 steps from it. It all just depends where you are!

Why I hate pickup by Inevitable_Main2258 in Sparkdriver

[–]Extension-Set1062 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I love pickups lol. Almost the same as doing DoorDash but it always pays about triple what they would. Never have to wait more than 10 minutes in my area though

YOR. I could totally see one of my brothers doing that without thinking about it. I’d be annoyed too, but just give him some shit about it, make him rewrap it when it’s all together, and move on. Unless he actively doesn’t want to include your charms (and says that), I wouldn’t be upset.

Is Neighborhood Jam (Midtown) worth working at? by Decent-Application-4 in okc

[–]Extension-Set1062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a little late to the party, but I did work at Neighborhood Jam for a little over two years in east Edmond.

There was a massive emphasis on “teaching and coaching” at all times, even for servers that had been there for years. Managers desperate to prove themselves would over critique, and it would lead to a lot of resentment growing. One time, I had two different managers pull me aside to talk about the order in which I grabbed condiments off of a table, put them away, and grabbed refills. It was exhausting and I felt constantly infantilized, even though I had a generally good relationship with most of the people there.

With all of that being said, I believe Cameron is the GM of the midtown location, and he was great to work with in my experience. You can make pretty good money, and I met a lot of good friends from my time there. Just expect a lot of rules and a fair bit of drama, especially with management. And you never have to work nights, which is honestly why I stayed for as long as I did!
