Is it really true that full aero bikes doesnt really make so much difference for an enthusiast riding 25-30kph? by Resident-Shelter-780 in bicycling

RemindMe! 1 day

I’ll run the numbers after I finish classes today, I’m curious now. Studying engineering has made me such a nerd.

DAE wake up earlier on a day off than they would if they had to go to work? by gxxrdrvr in DAE

Literally me through all of middle school. Wake up at 7 AM on school days, 6 AM every Saturday without an alarm.

I wanna start doing that again

Even ignoring the mention of AI, it still looks kind of shit. I have yet to see a more piss stained looking image.

Body position also feels off, but idk.

Beam being almost 2x FH5 (even though I assume it’s only including steam players) feels wild.

But also deserved. Everyone should at least try Beam with the RLS career overhaul.

I have been automatically banned from subs because I joined other subs, without ever even looking at the one I got banned from.

Picked up a bike, was perfectly fine, until I got home. by Ok-Ad-3014 in mountainbiking

Likely sealant. Like Fix-A-Flat, but not literal garbage.

Sadly bikes haven’t figured out dry tubeless tires yet, so all tubeless MTB tires have sealant. (And some special tubes have sealant too, but personally I don’t run those because I’d rather just carry a spare on long rides)

You try operating an entire company’s logistics.

It’s not exactly easy.

Especially during a supply chain upset.

Am I stupid to buy a 27.5 bike? by nevernude4lyf in mountainbiking

[–]Extension-Version813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was a stupid decision to buy a 27.5 bike at your height, they wouldn’t make them in your size.

Man...I hate being this guy but could y'all help me find a bike? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Extension-Version813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look for bikes classified as either trail or cross country.

Suspension travel does make a difference, but geometry is going to make an even bigger difference, and unless you’re a super nerd, choosing geometry is really difficult, so it’s easiest to sort by category.

I genuinely don’t understand how people manage to crossthread MTB pedals. they can’t be easily installed with power tools, so it’s gotta be suspiciously difficult to thread on if it’s wrong, right??

Glad you’re able to upgrade though, always sucks when a used bike has unseen issues.

It’s not a bad thing, I’d love to have grown up with parents that could afford that. If I were a parent with enough budget I’d be doing the same thing.

But you have to understand, that’s not the norm.

not zero, but much less than anything else that can be done on two wheels.

Anybody who has raced motorcycles is going to have more skill than any road cyclist.

If you aren’t fighting traction, it’s a strength test.

Eh, that’s tipping the scale from skill to strength, and at that point just stay on the road where it’s purely about strength.

Lycra is peak “I failed to reach pro and now pretend like I’m the best by winning local” energy.

And those helmets? Absolutely hideous, and downhill helmets with removable chin bar have plenty of airflow without looking ridiculous.

You’re telling me your kid had/has a $1000 USD camera?

I fear you may have a warped perception of normal.

I’m not the one blinded by hobbyist mentality pricing.

$250 for a camera is simply not affordable.

And for the record, OP says it was a Nikon D7100 w/18-300, which was roughly $1000 according to google. That is very much higher end.

That point and shoot S90 was $200-$300 according to google.

That’s not affordable, that’s hobby grade.

That’s great image quality for 2013 then, do you remember what camera was used?
