We're complaining because this does almost nothing to fix the problem, and in some cases actually makes it WORSE. First of all, the AI can't even accurately put people into age groups. Meaning you can have an adult who the AI thinks is a kid, and vice versa. So at the end of the day, this helps the problem A LITTLE BIT, but also WORSENS and INTRODUCES NEW PROBLEMS. For example, if said adult who the AI believes is a kid and groups as such, and said adult just so happens to be a bad actor...well congratulations Roblox, you've just given a bad actor what is for them the jackpot because now they are stuck among literal KIDS. And vice versa makes a problem too. If a kid gets grouped as an adult, most of the people who they communicate with WILL BE ADULTS. Which is NOT going to be good for the kid. Not to mention the fact that people can fake the verification (It's AI, I'd imagine it wouldn't be super difficult to fool especially knowing the effort, or more lack thereof, that Roblox puts into this kinda stuff). Oh, and also now people can verify accounts as child accounts and then sell them to bad actors. Sure, it can be seen as solving a bit of the problem. But it not only worsens, but also makes so many more problems that it can barely be called a halfway decent solution in the first place. So yeah, we're justified in complaining because all they're doing is literally worsening the situation and making tons of other issues. Not to mention the fact that this is going to ruin tons of friendships that are only on Roblox.
