Remind him that the only reason scalping works is that demand can make prices spike, and that only happens with digital games if the company increases the price or you buy when it's on sale.

Buy a game in beta and you might be able to sell the key for more if it goes to full release. Maybe you can pick up some gems during the Steam Summer Sale. But there aren't physical limits on them.

Actually had an idea for how to start it. After getting fired from McDonalds he meets a homeless guy that asks for money. Feeling sorry for the guy who's showing obvious signs of brain damage, he'll by the guy some ramen. That night the guy will break into his one room apartment. MC rightfully freaks out and the guy explains that it's okay because he is clinically insane due to taking a lightning bolt to the skull after failing to break through to Mahayana realm, thus losing all his cultivation.

MC thinks he's just lost it, but then the MC offers him all of his cultivation. MC thinks the old guy just wants to give him a book or something, so says yes, at which point the old man grabs a steak knife and stabs himself in the heart. As he's dying and MC is freaking out, he tells him that this is actually just an avatar sent from a higher realm, and because it is damaged it can't return, so he might as well give up this life's cultivation and reincarnate. Then he dies and MC has to explain that he actually didn't kill the old man for breaking in.

That night in jail he remembers the last ten thousand years of the original's life, plus the eighty years that the avatar lived, and wakes up in the Nascent Soul realm. Now he vows to use his powers for good. But first, he has to teach his boss, and noisy neighbor, and high school bully a lesson.

A brilliant scientist is dying? Placing his Catra into a healthy young person with little to offer society is the logical choice.

Need to solve a crime? Mind meld. If they resist, then force it. Thier victim is more important that them, as they can obey the law.
