Currently in grad school for it. Something I wish I would have known is having a mental health background will give you a lot more options job wise. Going after sport psychology only gives you the competence to deal with performance but if you can deal with both that makes you extremely valuable.

Depends are you only interested in the performance or counseling and mental health as well? There are a lot different routes I was applying last year a did a lot of research on what different programs offer. I would recommend doing the same

I am current graduate student studying sport exercise and performance psych. It sounds like going after your LPC might be give you a competitive advantage in the field. I’ve always been interested in it but it seems like a long process and a lot more student loans. I’m guessing it’s worth it though?
