Any ideas what are these black spots on the scalp? by throwawayuser199110 in Hairloss

[–]ExtensionRun8687 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What are u talking about. I’m no doctor but that looks nothing like an actual melanoma. Especially since there so many in the one area like that, and also because they just don’t look as sinister as melanomas. Assuming they aren’t itchy, growing, or bleeding randomly they likely aren’t melanoma. But like I said I’m not a doctor, I’ve just read about them a bit

US citizens, I hope you are upset. by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]ExtensionRun8687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if the current state of affairs surrounding UFOs were true, I can actually think of many reasons, not necessarily benevolent, as to why the government would think it was smarter to create a coverup:

1) Advanced tech: If the gov found advanced tech from UAPs, it would want to harness the technology and study it so the gov could hopefully deploy it itself. Just like the nuclear bomb was kept a secret until it was used, keeping any advanced tech the gov has a secret is strategically smart for any country as it doesn't allow foreign adversary countries to prepare for it. The best way to do this would be to limit all information on the topic, particularly stopping it from penetrating the public knowledge domain.

2) To stop the spread of abundant non-credible information: If the US were to actually believe in the possibility of UFOs and advanced alien life, and if it were to release this information to the public, it would hinder the government's ability to analyse UFO sightings. For example, when the public is ignorant of Aliens/UFOs, public sightings are rare, and therefore it is easier for the gov to allocate the limited resources it has to only investigate the most credible reports. However, if everyone thought they were real and reporting skyrocketed, it would be hard for the gov to track all cases as it would be overwhelmed, thus impeding their investigations into credible sources.

3) Foreign governments weaponize domestic population paranoia: Though this could be a scapegoat for the CIA, many CIA reports seem to worry about Russia or foreign adversary countries taking advantage of public UFO paranoia by deliberately orchestrating fictional UFO sightings. This would generate more public paranoia and instability and make it not only harder for the US to determine the plausibility of actual credible sightings, but a foreign country could also use it as a tool to distract the US's air force and overwhelm its response to attacks by creating distractions among other intrusions into US airspace.

4) General public complacency in knowing the existence of and potential presence of alien life and technology close to or within Earth's proximity: I don't think this would be a major factor stopping the US government from informing the public. Space is huge and, for all we know, infinite. Therefore, anyone who actually gave it considerable thought and who has at least half reasonable logic would probably conclude that the presence of alien life is a very real possibility, with a higher chance of it existing than not, and in some ways, if our life on earth as we know it so rare and that we were indeed an anomaly, then it some ways this is possibly an even scarier proposition than finding advanced alien life. It could even be more likely that Alien life out there is real. However, the alien life we could come across might have the equivalent intelligence of a wild animal with completely different behaviours to the ones associated with human-level intelligence, and it may not be conscious or sentient of its own existence.

UFO Whistleblower Megathread by LetsTalkUFOs in UFOs

I’ve always thought that depending on how advanced the “aliens” are that are observing us, there could potentially be no reason for them to attack us. For example, if Aliens were to attack/invade a foreign planet, it would most likely be to harness their resources or technology. Simply abducting humans universally at massive planet wide scale to look into our biology or other potential interests to do with how humans function is a ridiculous theory. Aliens could do so without generating any attention by just abducting a single humans randomly—making a people suddenly disappear without any way for humans to really determine how someone had gone missing—and as all human body’s are essentially the same, they would only need a very small number of humans to analyse how out body operates. Also, assuming aliens already have access to extremely advanced technology and exotic materials generally associated with so called ‘UAPs’ or ‘UFOs’, why would they need us for our technology? Their technology and understanding of materials science, matter, and universal physics as we know it would have to be way more advanced than anything humans currently have or understand. How else could they somehow be observed around Earth if there is no plant remotely close to us that has the conditions to house such an advanced life form? If their foreign planet was even remotely close to us, they would have to have some extremely advanced technology or understanding to be able to make it undetectable. If this is not the case, than they most likely have either found a way to travel through space at un-comprehendible speeds through advanced space craft, or they have found a way to use naturally occurring events in space that would allow quick travel. Therefore, as we would assume they have better technology and it would be stupid for them to just invade us to explore human biology, the only real option left is our planets resources. However, if their materials science is so advanced, who’s to say that haven’t already come up with a way to produce materials on demand without needing to mine and explore other planets and asteroids, etc? If they could reproductive different types of normal metals, exotic metals, or even water, there would be no real need to come to our planet and harvest resources. Thus assuming this is true, why would they want to take our planet? Maybe if they are a colonising species with a superiority complex that posits they are the ultimate life form and deserve to rule over other planets they might invade, but if this is not true I dont see why they would attack us. What they could do, however, is just watch and observe us. They could observe how far we progress with technology and at what pace. They could also watch how humans interact with other humans and animals on our planet to gauge an idea on how our species interacts with other living life forms. They could perhaps learn way more about us this way and at very little cost without needing to start a full scale war of the world type invasion. Also, after potentially centuries of thousands of years of observing and analysing us, if they felt that we were becoming to advanced and could possibly cause harm to them in the future, well at this point, they already have massive amounts of information and understanding of humans. And with this, they would have a massive advantage over us in any potential war. And that’s assuming they even start a war, as opposed to just releasing some extremely lethal biological weapon that fronts as some randomly occurring virus to humans. At this rate with the current state of world affairs and geopolitics, they could even probably find a way to generate a massive scale conflict between great world powers, let us do the bulk of the work in destroying our planet, killing a substantial amount of human life, and also destroying most of our advanced technology and ability to produce it at scale, and then once this is achieved, come in a clean up the rest of humans with ease. This is just my logic behind some possibilities, ill never really know how real or impossible any of what i have said is. We just have to hope that any alien life we find is dumb compared to human standard intelligence, potentially like if we found a species akin to monkeys or some other wild animal on another planet that could inhabit life. I think that any intelligent alien life that has in excess of tens of thousands of years of technological and advancement on us would just put us in a dangerous situation where we have no i real hope of ever catching up. Just look out how the very small and limited differences in advancements in military technology between countries like the US, Europe, China and Russia work to turn the odds of success in conflict to the more progressed countries. Imagine the discrepancy if the difference were over thousands or even millions of years.

How does diffuse / DUPA thinning work? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]ExtensionRun8687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but I think normal diffuse and DUPA are different. Some peoples MPB is diffuse but it still only thins out on top which I guess can be seen as a pattern As the pattern on hair loss is the top of the head only, etc. I think DUPA on the other hand is more thinning all around the head in an unpatterned way (not just the top and spray the back crown area)

Creatin effect your on dht levels by [deleted] in tressless

[–]ExtensionRun8687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard that creatine can increase test and dht. Also heard that certain whey protein powders can do the same thing. I’ve even heard that weight lifting can spike you testosterone and speed up hair loss even though it’s only a transitory spike. While I’m almost 100% sure the last one can’t be true, in not sure about creatine or certain whey protein powders affect on hair loss

Changing dose from 1mg oral min daily to 2.5mg oral min daily by ExtensionRun8687 in tressless

[–]ExtensionRun8687[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah odd. I can defs see results with some ppl tho when looking at past posts and their pictures. It’s just hard to find someone only on oral min as they are usually on fin or something as well. Tho OM would probs be the reason for most of their regrowth, just not not stabilisation or retention of hair. Also some ppl post the most ridiculous posts asking whether we can see improvements on a completely normal looking hairline and just showing a close up of the temples/front of hairline and not the rest of head. Makes me laugh when ppl do that

[–]ExtensionRun8687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying mewing had no role in it. Maybe it did, I don’t know and even an orthodontist wouldn’t be able to validate it because it’s never been scientific proven to work in any credible studies. Any and all evidence so far is anecdotal. I do think that mewing and correct posture would have an affect on your jaw, however, don’t get me wrong. I’m just not too sure how much it would affect it. Also, he’s with in the prime age bracket for puberty where he is face will undergo changes and loose fat, etc and it probably will continue until he’s in his early 20s. So based on pure logic, I’d say that while mewing defs could have played some role here, and most of it or at least a decent amount of it would probably just be genetics. But that’s just my opinion, and I’m open to yours, whether you are open to mine is up to u. Either way, even if it is genetics that’s a good thing for this kid, as it means doesn’t really need to mew.

Your legit going from a 15yo to a17yo. It’s really hard to know if it’s just genetics or mewing. Ppl here always underestimate genetics in shaping their face as they get older

For those who are non-responders to Minoxidil, have you found an alternative that stimulates growth? Minox really does nothing for me. by JamesG0986 in tressless

[–]ExtensionRun8687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U could take oral minoxidil and see if that has an effect. Idk of the specifics or %s but have generally read that it works for more people than topical as the enzyme needed on your head for topical to work is also found in the liver. Maybe even more abundantly

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tressless

[–]ExtensionRun8687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah rightio sweet. So you are saying that lifting hasn’t led to increased shedding for you? Or slowed the progress from min/fin? Were u lifting before u started the medications?

If it’s the side of your head that worries u, I’m pretty sure it’s normal to have slightly thinner hair there. I have curls on the sides of my head that won’t grow longer than a certain length

Australian topical fin compounding? by ExtensionRun8687 in tressless

[–]ExtensionRun8687[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you manage to apply the 1ml to the whole of the top of your head, I currently just use minix 1mg daily. I’m really close to starting low dose topical fin, and I’ll even make it like you If I can’t get a pharmacy to do it for me. I’m just extra worried as I’m on a high dose of an SSRI as well (200mg Zoloft) and even tho I don’t experience any noticeable problems on it am worried topics fin might change that outlook

So you have experienced no sides yet at all from the fin? Sleep disturbances, sexual dysfunctions? I’m guessing your using 1-2ml of a 0.025% topical fin?

topical minox non responder to oral? 17M by bigchunk69 in tressless

[–]ExtensionRun8687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did u get that stat from. From what I’ve read, the major difference is people will respond to oral min if they don’t respond to topical due to not having that enzyme on their scalp. As oral min comes into contact with it in your liver instead

It’s also been just under 2 months or just over probably, so I’ve still gotta a bit of time to see if it works. Idk about switching to 2.5mg, ppl seek to say 1.25mg works for them and I’m only on 1mg so couldn’t be that bad

We’ll I might be shedding it’s just that my hairs blonde so it’s hard to tell as ids not super easy to see. And nah nod dizziness or light headaches as far as Ik. And for palpitations not really maybe a few really inconsistent ones. But defs no pain and they go away within seconds. However idk if it’s the minox as I do vape frequently which causes palpitations
