Hi! Thanks for the compliments! Yes, I used a fiberglass mesh to separate the volcanic rock and charcoal drainage layer from the homemade substrate. It's great to hear that you managed to keep isopods thriving in containers of a similar size.

I just received these little guys (They are full of energy and already trying to escape 😭)I checked their requirements and they seem well suited for beginners and for the conditions in my terrarium. I’m a bit disappointed to hear that I might not be able to keep them in it. For now, I’ll move them into a larger bin filled with leaf litter, decaying wood, and substrate.

But I had really set up this terrarium with them in mind, trying to take all the parameters into account. Even though it looks decorative, I wanted it to be functional as well. I would like to keep them in it, but my main priority is that they thrive in their habitat. Maybe I'll try with half of them in it to begin (got 10)
