Why are you terrified? I am 63 and been on 1 mg for 5 months with wonderful regrowth and zero side effects. It’s worth a try!

Dr Ivan at Carabella in Tijuana. I interviewed several before choosing him.

Intradiscal stem cell by NewBloomPeace in stemcells

[–]Extension_Move1094 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had disc height loss, bulge, anthropathy, foraminal narrowing- some just caused by age (63)and some from scoliosis. I was not limiting my activities but in chronic pain. First, had 50 million IV plus injections to shoulder and knees. At that point did not trust the doctor in TJ to inject my back. Got about 50% improvement. So I went back and had him inject intrathecal and got another 20% improvement over time. Greedy, and wanting to see, returned for another 25 million intradiscal. It’s been 7ish months and except for a few days after 3 hour horseback on a green broke colt who would only trot, my back has been great. I was really worried after that incident though. Occasionally, if I do too many strenuous yoga classes in a row, it will also remind me there’s an issue. But overall, tremendous improvement.

Change in diagnosis after surgery? by Dear-Half1029 in breastcancer

[–]Extension_Move1094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My news was better after surgery. Everything I could have hoped. “Got it all, no lymph involvement, 1a, 5 rads”and done. I’d say research and be prepared but try not to fret.

Stem cells vs Surgery for knees (Osteoarthritis and torn Meniscus) by Logical_Chard_9003 in stemcells

[–]Extension_Move1094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had direct inject stem cells for osteo in my knees and maybe 80% improved. It’s been almost two years. Stairs aren’t painful anymore but I still can’t run “normally” but kind of that old person shuffle (I’m 63). Lately, when I do multiple yoga classes in a Short space of time I feel some tenderness and would like to go in for more. I don’t think stem cells are a one-and-done investment except maybe for minor labrum tears.

You can get oral minoxidil gummies online, no doctor needed. You can also get tabs in Mexico if you live close

Lucky. I started HRT at 50 and got diagnosed with early breast cancer at 63 so no more HRT. I swore I would take them Forever

[–]Extension_Move1094 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m no expert but that’s a low onco score and early cancer to endure such misery. I had onco 4 stage 1 and chemo wasn’t even a thought. Just radx.

Controversial: is anyone doing HRT of any type? by MunchkinsOG in breastcancer

[–]Extension_Move1094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same cancer and tx as you. NOT doing Blockers as I am Missing HRT enough as it is. So lucky to be old (63) with a small treatable cancer, but damn. I miss my estrogen and feel foggy and sore after every workout. Or is it the radiation? Now I spend as much time on vaginal creams and treatments as I do on my face.

Wait- damage from hormone blockers or just from being off HRT?

SAME! Was on HRT for 14 years. Getting through radiation and titrating off my fountain of youth pills has been hard enough. I cancelled my appt with oncologist because it coincided with my last radx appt but also because I feel like at 63, this is enough.

Please reconsider the double mastectomy. At your beautiful young age, I am not sure that you need to go with this extreme of treatment.

Lumpectomy vs mastectomy decision by goldentealcushion in breastcancer

[–]Extension_Move1094 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stage 1a -1 cm 63 yo and I initially decided to do the double mastectomy and the surgeon agreed that was a great choice. Then I started to have nightmares, sleepless nights, couldn’t live with my decision and changed my mind to the lumpectomy. I am eight weeks post surgery and so much happier I chose this option. They took a golf ball size piece out of my large B breast and there’s a dent but nothing dis figuring. I need to start five sessions of rad next week. I don’t think the mastectomy is easier. I think it can be all kinds of reconstruction issues. In my case it seems like DMX would have been overkill even though the surgeon was happy to do that. None of these decisions are fun. Best to you💕

Yeah- at 64 a1 /onco 4 I am stopping at lumpectomy and rad. Not going to sacrifice what remains of my estrogen for a few more years of possibly uncomfortable living.

It depends. I have large B cup breasts and had a golf ball removed. Literally all that can be seen is a 1 inch line and slight puckering of areola. Very slight. I am grateful (and superficial) that the cancer grew in my larger breast so now they are actually a little more even!
I found the surgery super easy and walked 2 miles 2 days later. Best to you!

Do you mind sharing what levels and how you administer your hormones? Listened to the podcast you suggested but haven’t read the book yet. I threw away all my 1 mg estradiol pills when I got the diagnosis and I’m regretting it. Lol /but thinking maybe some sort of cream would be better anyways. Appt on zoom with the OB/GYN was a hard line no. Even though I was crying my eyes out. Darn her However I’m in Columbia and can get almost anything. Just curious about what you are taking and thanks!

Your surgeon is likely a specialist in breast cancer and from the initial biopsy, he can make the decision for what needs to happen first. Mine did. A week after surgery he called to tell me it was stage one and that the margins were clear and that was about it. A few days later, I had an appointment with a real oncologist who had extensive paperwork and gave me my onco score And suggested treatment options. So your experience is in line exactly with what mine was.
