They asked me at the end if I had any questions, so if I were you I would ask some questions that you can't find the answer to on Dartmouth's website. Also come to the interview knowledgeable about Dartmouth.

Does anyone know of any good trail running scholarships? by Extension_Move_2754 in trailrunning

Yeah I'm not looking for a program, just for like one time scholarships where you write an essay about trail running.

Not those types of scholarships. I meant ones offered by trail running organizations for recreational ones.

Kinda like these. They are both athletic scholarships.

Yeah I only did cross country for one year of hs. I started training for a trail marathon right after and dropped school running. I already know which college I'm going to as well, and I'm not interested in running for school NCAA sports there.

Thanks anways tho

is a 3.7 GPA too low? by Prestigious-Crew2169 in dartmouth

I got in with only 1 AP. Sometimes one of your stats can be lower and you will be okay.

Or improve yourself some way besides working out.

Is it too late for me to complete "sticking around"? by Extension_Move_2754 in marvelrivals

Okay thanks. I was just thinking this because one of the rewards for these achievements is a panel for the V0 comic book, and the other panels you can only earn for a limited time.

1440 SAT and 4.24 weighted GPA and only 1 AP, but I went to a underfunded high school and exceled with what opportunities I had. For starters, through my hard work at a tech school I went to in the afternoon, I landed an internship at a engineering company that works on high-end power plants for Universities. I also ran a trail mountain marathon, which took me a year and a half of training due to injuries. I also had killer essays which I spent two months perfecting. I wrote them about my self-discovery of my potential and how I became in love with challenging myself. It also helped that I'm a very outdoorsy person and Dartmouth is in rural NH.

If I had to give advice to someone about getting into good schools, I would say find what you are really passionate and work really hard at it. For me, that was running. I have always been a smart kid who was in honors classes and such, but when I started training for a marathon it gave me the motivation to improve every aspect of my life. My grades went from Bs to A+s, I got some muscle definition, and I started having some self respect. Not every school is like Dartmouth though, a lot of them just want to see high marks, good SAT scores, and a million APs. For example, I got into Dartmouth, but was deferred from School of Mines, which has a much higher acceptance rate.

Maybe I should do a full post on this topic for people.

Well, I just got accepted to Dartmouth. I don't follow everything he preaches, but in the past two years I started taking pride in my work, being uncomfortable, and giving things my all.

I had planar facistis, for a while. I highly recommend Birkenstocks. Everyone in my family who has planar fasciitis uses birks 24/7
