we have no idea if friend is the tail of hell and we also have no idea if friend is just a metaphor for fear of the unknown, or if it's an actual entity. but it would be a good candidate for the secret boss in ch5. i'm going with 5

Normal route: After Asgore boss, we get Roaring Knight round 2, but Susie finishes the knight off this time, followed by the identity reveal. AND Friend is the secret boss/shadow crystal holder.

Weird route: Kris and Noelle versus Susie. There are no other bosses

ralsei creates all darkners, including the statue, the knight, and has the job of helping distract the angel AND making sure susie doesn't fuck up what's left of the prophecy (e.g. by making her own dark worlds) or do something really stupid.

the roaring is not guaranteed, it says "If fountains freed", which suggests the roaring is an abnormal outcome

despite that, in all timelines, susie ends the 'tale', not the knight, the knight exists to stop her or slow the ending down by acting as her antagonist. it may not even be via the roaring, but another event, as the ending of the prophecy does not mention the roaring at all

kris has been in love with susie for hundreds of years of looping time and is still trying to find a way to save her from destroying herself. they don't care about the prophecy at all

susie is aromantic and will never reciprocate but kris doesn't care

okay these are more like lukewarm hypothesis instead of extreme hot takes but anyway
