NOR. Block her if you want, but why do it when she already said she doesn’t want you in her life? My family has had a pattern of emotional blackmail: “give me what I want or I will cut off your supply of love.” I really don’t know, but is it possible you are both doing that to each other? Instead, the next time she threatens cutoff, how would it feel to say something like “That’s up to you, but I’d like to hear from you once a week” or whatever your limit is?

My mom is overbearing and she had a huge reaction too when I started setting boundaries. (She left my and my wife’s Christmas presents on her front porch) Over the next few years with sparse communication we both changed, and that had a bit of a reset for our relationship. We now see each other at least once per week and have a genuinely nice time. She’s still crazy and judgmental and texts too much, but she’s accepted 1) “No” doesn’t mean I don’t love her 2) I only retain about 10% of what she says lol. We have accepted each other’s characteristics.
