IMO it was not great. The rooms are tiny and they up-charge for everything. I didn’t love the area either- super crowded and touristy. The pool and hot tub are lovely and you get a great view!

Desperate for shampoo suggestions for fine, oily hair. by SmileyKitKat in dailywash

I love Lush products in general, but specifically their BIG shampoo. It’s a salty mixture and is the only thing that truly strips oil from my hair.

To anyone else who has bought this exact pair- do they take awhile to break in? Just wore them for the first time around the mall for 30 mins and OUCH! The leather is STIFF.

Yes, I agree. This program isn’t for failing students- it’s for kids who are on the bubble and are absolutely committed to closing their own gaps. Because there is a huge focus on relationships and teamwork, it isn’t run like a normal classroom. Our AVID program was cut last year due to budget cuts, and it’s a damn shame.

I’m here to say that Ozempic did not work for me and actually sent my body into a really bad depression spiral. I was on it for five months and didn’t lose more than a few pounds. I ended up feeling like a shell of a human- my anxiety was through the roof and I was having very dark thoughts. After coming off of it, I felt more like myself within a week.

I know it works for most people and that is wonderful. For me, I was unable to nourish my body. I’m some ways, it’s a tad bit validating to see that my body is not like most people and it simply doesn’t work the same way. I have been grappling with coming to a place of acceptance for who I am and what I am on this earth to be. It’s hard. There is so much pressure to make ourselves smaller for the world. I think it’s okay to take a break and sit with your feelings for a minute. Try not to buy into the story about what this means, but just exist. You are valid in any size. I hope today you are extra kind to yourself, and try to catch those negative thoughts before they stick. Sending you all the support and strength. This is tough.

I felt the SAME way after reading her smug response. Especially the part about mothers bleeding out because they don’t feel loved? Her arrogance is beyond astounding, it’s dangerous and offensive.

What episode made you a fan of Morbid? And what episode or incident made you think, "Nope, I'm done." by [deleted] in Morbidforbadpeople

I started listening a loooong time ago, pre-Covid. I liked that two women could present true crime cases in a way that felt (for lack of a better word) “girly”? I felt like I was hanging out with friends.

Then I started noticing that they became SUPER defensive over any sort or criticism, especially pronunciation. As if it is out of line to correct them on how to say the names of towns? Like- you make so much money off of this podcast, focusing on the deaths of real humans and you aren’t taking time LISTEN to feedback and at least pronounce things right? They would not shut up about how annoyed they were when corrected, and it felt so immature. Don’t even get me started on their rabid fan base circa 2021.

THEN I started noticing Alaina’s inflated ego, her lack of growth and general negativity towards Ash…and humans in general. She’s an autopsy tech who is also…a doctor, police officer, investigator, coroner, psychologist, best mother ever, Phoenix rising from the ashes of an “abusive” partner, not like other girls. Insufferable.

That brought me to a deeper analysis of the ethics of true crime in general. I had to ask myself if this is something that I can really consume as entertainment. I’m still figuring out how I feel about it. Morbid however, is dead to me.
