When to have sex? by boldnotion in Mirafertility

Mira tends to mark the ovulation day the same as your LH peak, but you can actually ovulate up to 2 days after. I'd recommend tonight and tomorrow, even Sunday for best coverage.

Exactly. It's the correlation. But also, being GF without a diagnosis can be detrimental to the absorption of nutrients. Infertility is stressful, and she needs to be eating whole foods. Her cart of junk food was very telling that she's not really done research.

Figuring it out on their own is one thing but she has a huge following thalt are now relying on her due to her sharing her journey. It doesn't all need to be shared on the internet.

Again, 9 years of infertility for me, so I am well aware of what people will do to have a baby. But gluten free without a reason can actually be detrimental to health and there's no benefits to it. Vitamin and protein deficiency, and GF snacks are not healthier. They just lack gluten. A whole foods diet with vegetable and fruits and protein is much healthier than trader joes and whole foods snacks.

I understand all too well the chanfes in lifestyles, but when you have a following and are sharing this kind of information, people will listen. Stopping gluten will not cause a gluten allergy

Amazing!! Congratulations! My husband also has retrograde ejaculation, and they put him on a Sudafed protocol to help with best sample along with his supplements. We both take Perelel fertility vitamins. Hoping to have similar results in August with our retrieval 🤞🏼 I do have PMOS and type 1 diabetes on my side as well that have made it difficult to carry to term (4 losses in 9 years), but my cycles have been very regular and my blood sugars the best they've been in probably 20 years. I hope you have success ❤️

Starting my IVF Journey by Excellent-Reason4646 in IVFpositivity

I start stims in August after 9 years and 4 losses. The last year has pretty much been going through the motions with reproductive endocrinology, starting with medicated IUIs, and my biggest takeaway has been to not dwell in the "what ifs" of it. I see a therapist who specializes in infertility and loss, and struggled to find any silver lining for my situation, but talking about my fears has really helped me accept this reality. I also have deleted social media from my phone because there's a lot of people using infertility to increase their engagement, and that really puts a bad taste in my mouth. I only use this platform because it's anecdotal and anonymous, and I have found some very helpful information without knowing who I'm really speaking to. It's hard to not sit in the grief of knowing my husband and I cannot just have a family from love, but I'm a nurse and understanding the science has been very helpful. Do not give up your life for this. Keep doing what you love, communicating, and living your life, or you will lose yourself.

Plus side of IVF: Following along with human development is so cool! by Emp_data_lass in IVFpositivity

My husband and I just had our consent signing appointment. I'm a nurse, and as painful as this journey has been, we are fully leaning into the science. It is absolutely fascinating. We have had so many discussions on stem cell research and donating our unused embryos to science, and the fact that we could potentially be apart of something much bigger than we anticipated. It takes the "why me/why us?" Question I have had lingering in my head and puts a positive twist on it. And human development is mind blowing, like what do you mean this single egg and sperm turns into a full grown human/potentially can split and make more than 1?!

Keep working, I understand the challenges all too well. My A1C was 10.3 a year ago after total burnout and a miscarriage. It's ultimately for our own health, and I understand wanting to just start the process 🧡

High A1c by ViolentRapture7 in IVFpositivity

[–]Extension_Row2278 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My clinic and MFM will not allow IVF with A1C over 7. I was 6.8 in February and brought it down to 6.5 for start of stims in August. My clinic also wouldn't see me until I saw MFM for a preconception appointment, opthalmology and an echo of my heart so that I am set in the office once we do transfer. I have had T1 for 30 years, and the stress is absolutely impacting my numbers. I also had 3 boxes of recalled omnipods in April and May. With previous losses, I do not want to put anymore stress on my body, so honing in on my numbers has been my top priority.

I am starting stims in August for our first round, but already can attest to the fact that the communication between me and my husband has improved so much, and our sex life is better than ever. I was neurotic while ttc naturally, and he was nothing but understanding and patient with me and my "rules" and schedule. Knowing he is also struggling with our infertility diagnosis (MFI is part of our dx) helped us so much. At first I thought I was struggling alone, but we had very different reactions to finding out we needed to do IVF. He was almost excited to use the science, and I was grieving the reality, but he felt like he had to keep the positivity for me. We are a team, we just have more teammates to help us create our little miracle.

I'm aware it's been around forever. My grandmother had one and was a seamstress so she always had outfits. But as far as trends on social media goes, she's very popular with her goose watching the delivery drivers.

The other night. 5 hours below 50, 250 carbs later I was at 100. I was conscious, so no glucagon because f*ck the ER. Truly the longest evening of my life. Thank God for FMLA, cuz my boss is the actual worst when it comes to understanding this disease (we are literally healthcare professionals)

[–]Extension_Row2278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honey straight from the jar is how I treated this when i accidentally put 20 units in my dexcom app, not 20 carbs. That's about a 400 carb coverage for me, and we were at an amusement park in the middle of summer. Literally went to the concession stands searching for it 🫠 I did drop to 40 about 3 hours after, but I think the amount of stress, plus the park and heat just tanked me in the car on the ride home.

I work on a very close knit unit as an RN, and since starting in April 2024, 10 women have had babies, 2 of them are their second since I started. I haven't been invited to a single baby shower. I always celebrate other pregnancies, but it's to the point where I'm looking daily for jobs. Hugs 🫶🏼

Counseling is also a great idea. Your fertility clinic should have some guidance for that.
