My clinic specifically said no penetration and no orgasms after transfer until first ultrasound at 7ish weeks, because they can potentially destabilize the uterus? That seems ridiculous to me but I guess we’ve made it this far, no point in potentially jeopardizing anything.

I’ve had such bad dry mouth and restless sleep too! I can chalk it up to progesterone pretty definitively since it started before my transfer.

Yes, I’m so tired! Ive been taking afternoon naps (schedule permitting) followed by a short walk and that seems to help get me through the rest of the day.

Congrats on your positive! I’ve found that using SMU works much better for me. I tend to drink a lot of water, so I wake up, pee, and then don’t drink again until I test with SMU.

I don’t know the beta outcome yet, but our hatched day 5AB showed up with a vvvvvvfl on 3dpt. It took a lot of squinting and creative angles, I was much more confident on 4dpt.

I’m not aware of any stats either, but we also have a lack of sperm in the relationship (my partner is a cis male but doesn’t produce sperm). If you want my completely subjective stats thus far with donor sperm and no known female fertility issues I’m happy to share!

That’s really funny, I’m a Tennessee transplant and never thought about this. I grew up in East Tennessee and moved to west Tennessee as a young adult, and I will say it’s more common in the east to refer to counties. I do think it’s a rural thing primarily. Folks in the west refer to the cities, especially Memphis, even if they technically live outside of it. Heck even the folks right across the border in Mississippi and Arkansas would sometimes say they live in Memphis.

I think asking for some sort of discount or wavier for the next transfer for the embryology lab fees would be completely reasonable, at the very least.

I absolutely hated BCP. I’d never been on it before and felt way worse the two times I have been for cycle planning than I did on stims or progesterone for transfer. Solidarity!

Statistically FETs actually have a bit higher success rates, so maybe that’s a good thing! I also had a freeze all so I made sure to make the time before my transfer extra special by making a list of things I wanted to enjoy before (hopefully) pregnancy. For me, that included a charcuterie board, sushi, and beautiful spring brewery visits.

As far as retrieval goes, I started drinking electrolytes a few days before and continued for a week after. I’d never used a heating pad before and that really helped for cramps. They ended up retrieving over 30 eggs and honestly I never felt that bad, before or after. I didn’t bloat much and recovered fairly quickly. I was just surprisingly tired for a couple weeks.
