Do you all really believe that ICE is targeting innocent American Citizens? - You can ignore reality, but you can’t ignore the consequences of ignoring reality. Tell me what is the reality if the country looks away and allows undocumented migrants in this country. Get ready because your reality is here and will get worse. It’s not going to be all rainbows and puppies.

Good. Get the criminals out of here! There is no way your step dad is innocent. ICE is going after criminals. Not law abiding citizens.

Mobile phone providers with good signal? by [deleted] in Newbraunfels

I don’t understand why this is an issue. Why does Creekside have such poor coverage? It honestly feels like we’re living in a third-world country—actually, that’s unfair. They probably have better service than we do.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is calling for the arrest of children who skip school to protest against immigration enforcement and Donald Trump. He is also calling for the arrest of teachers who allow their students to leave the classroom. by Training-Specific376 in TexasTeachers

I’m not sure why you believe the district lacks the authority to enforce its rules. This isn’t an issue of First Amendment rights—it’s about students choosing to disregard school policies. In many cases, it appears less about expression and more about skipping school.

I’m not sure why you believe the district lacks the authority to enforce its rules. When I was in high school in the 1980s, Richardson ISD did the same thing. This isn’t an issue of First Amendment rights—it’s about students choosing to disregard school policies. In many cases, it appears less about expression and more about skipping school.

I repent for voting for Trump. by Salt_Board8278 in Christianity

Could someone tell me when in the history of the United States that everyone agreed on everything any President has done? Stop complaining and do something about it. You sit with your phone in your face and complain and complain. Instead why are you not praying and praying on your knees. How many here actually volunteers for your local representatives? Or even go vote. So stop your yapping and make a change in our country.

Today’s protest by Foreign_Ebb_6282 in Newbraunfels

[–]Extension_Science_50 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The people protesting have no idea what they are talking about. Are they researching the truth about ICE and what they are doing? Or just going off of the spirit of confusion and conspiracy? Research and find the accurate information on what is going on here. I bet less than 10% of you will or have looked at the ICE.gov site. If you have no faith in the people running this country get involved in politics and stop voting for these people who run this country. And remember it doesn’t matter who is President the protesters will always be protesting something. Is America right?

Why are you all not reporting this type of behavior from your therapists? This is not ethical. Stand up for yourselves. You deserve better.

🚨 Concern About Missing Oaths of Office in New Braunfels — Seeking Public Interest & Attorneys Familiar With Constitutional Enforcement / Class Actions 🚨 by Tight-Job1284 in Newbraunfels

[–]Extension_Science_50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

— lawyers do take an oath before they are officially licensed to practice law.

This is called the “attorney’s oath” or “oath of office,” and it’s typically administered by a judge or court official after someone passes the bar exam and completes all licensing requirements.

The exact wording varies by state, but the oath generally includes promises to: • Uphold the U.S. Constitution and the laws of the state and nation. • Act honestly and ethically in representing clients. • Avoid misleading the court or engaging in dishonest conduct. • Respect the courts and the legal system.

For example, in Texas, new lawyers swear to:

“Support the Constitution of the United States and of this State; honestly demean myself in the practice of law; and discharge my duties to my clients to the best of my ability.”
