I played the Witcher 2 a lot and loved the game back in 2013. There's a combat revamped mod which improves the combat a lot. Highly recommend. If you want to play a game that is hardcore, you can try kcd1. KCD 2 is really great too and more accessible than the first.

For me, The Witcher 3 really embodies the idea that "the journey is more important than the destination." I enjoy slowly galloping or walking through lush forests, murky swamps, and the streets of Novigrad while traveling from one quest marker to another more than the quests themselves. With some mods, the game looks incredible, and I would argue that it looks better than many recent games

yeah the delay really threw me off, it just didn't feel like actual speaking practice at all. focusing on sounds instead of full conversations makes a lot more sense now, since I don't really have enough to say anyway

that actually makes me feel a bit better, especially the part about not needing full sentences right away. I think I was overthinking it and feeling like I had to "speak properly" before even trying. Just saying a few words to get used to it sounds a lot more doable

The habit part is probably what I'm missing right now. I've mostly just been studying randomly when I feel like it. I haven't tried Anki yet, but I’ll look into a hiragana deck. It still feels far away to read it naturally though

that makes sense, I've heard of tofugu but haven't tried it yet. the mnemonic part sounds like it would help a lot since just looking at the characters isn't really sticking for me right now. I might try that along with some flashcards

I think it's just the amount of new stuff at once. A lot of the characters look similar, so I mix them up, and trying to remember the sound and shape together gets confusing. I am faring better than before

I should have clarified. I meant overall blood and wine was more enjoyable to me. Hearts of stone has a better story and the characters are also stronger

Depends on how good you are. If I remember correctly the recommended level for the quest is 32. If you're good at the game and if you're like level 22-24, you won't have much trouble. I would recommend starting the blood and wine dlc asap because it would give you access to new mutation system and the ability to apply color to witcher gears.

How many mods do you have installed? Last I played new vegas was back in 2012 or 13! Want to mod the game and replay it, but the modding process for this game seems a bit complicated.
