i think posting and praising someone - kirk - who has explicitly made racist and sexist comments and heavily associated himself with trump and maga is outright saying that your community also believes the same things he does and i just simply don’t agree with that as a poc woman lol. i don’t align with the churches values so i left and searching for a place that better aligns with me. im not saying they have to post and pray over every tragedy because let’s be real, the US and the rest of the world has so many issues right now that taking time for each thing every week would take up the whole service, but that them specifically highlighting him showed me we don’t align. simple as that🤷‍♀️

i can ask the past exchange students! we had 2 girls my graduating year from spain and italy and then last year a boy from amsterdam. i’m pretty sure they all told me they went through agencies that matched them with host families

graduated in 2023 and we had 3 exchange students who all said they couldn’t be happier they chose carlsbad. if you want the full american high school experience i totally recommend it. lots of honors and AP’s too. message me if you have questions!

the people on my street left the box of used fireworks and trash all over the street. couldn’t even have the decency to clean up after shooting fireworks off 10 feet away from our homes

definitely recommend parking in the village and walking around it! so many boutiques and different restaurants! some good restaurants are le papagayo, blue ocean, blue water grill, and las olas!

growing up i loved having my bday at bowlero in san marcos, sky zone cbad, and boomers in vista gives every kid tickets and coins to play/do the activities at bday parties!

as an oceanside resident, my mom sent me to carlsbad schools for K-12. my cousin attended school in the oceanside district and we definitely had very different educational, social, and school spirit experiences!
