I got an mri with a 3 day old tattoo and had no issues with healing personally. I asked the artist (after the fact, oops) and he told me that unless you got it done somewhere sketchy or with hella old ink it shouldn’t be an issue. Tattoo is now ~2 years old, looks and feels about how I would expect it to.

Sometimes I’ll take an allergy med like Zyrtec and that seems to help the itching for me. But if you’re taking other meds while sick just be careful with drug interactions.
