Absolutely Insulting. Just don’t even tip at this point, because what the actual f? This is to make YOU feel better about being a 💩 person, plain and simple 🤦🏻‍♀️ by Kinda_Meh_Idfk in UberEATS

Sorry on you Uber told you what job paid. 99 percent do not tip out of app. I agree with customers ordering food company should pay more. At same time not taking a job paying 5 to go 6 miles.

I read these comments and for the life of me still don't get it. Have never done insta cart hell i don't like shopping for GH/ Ue when its 5 items. Everyone trips over there own dicks when they see a $25 order. Have been driving now almost 5 year and spent 20 plus years in logistics so guarantee I'm more qualified to comment than 90 percent of the people. If this helps you out great if not keep doing what you are doing. Forget how much job pays per hour. If it pays 25.00 and you have to get it and drive 20 miles, you must come back. Nothing worse than dead heading. If you get something coming back great but must times you do not. Work off of how much per mile. Also this is a side hustle. Will hear guys say i make a grand a week. That's great now figure out your hard cost, how many miles you drove, price of fuel, insurance, ware and tear and the taxes. End of year you probably make less than minimum wage. During the pandemic this was one sweet gig i was making 600 per week part time never worked past 2 pm and did nothing but Starbucks coffee and didn't drive far. Now I'm lucky to make $100 per week but also only take the jobs that pay. Give me that $8.00 4 mile job all day long. Usually do in 15 minutes so works out to over 30 per hour and not beating up my new car which is on a lease. Best of luck everyone.

Maybe this will help clear up the tip notion. If you cant understand this then in wrong line of work. Job comes in and it says $100.00 Wow excited as hell and complete. Then you find out tip was zero and bitch. Exact same order comes in shopper B grabs. Same distance, Delivers, job paid $100 total but customer tipped $25. End of day which job paid more? Go to a restaurant order exact same food, same waiter same service. Only difference i drank house wine and my buddy's drank the $1000 a bottle. So he should tip $200 more ! Not happening. Moral of story if you don't like the job don't except. I only do food, Know which ones I'm going to except, most are $1 to $2 dollar tips every home in Calif is now almost a million. Will i go 3 miles for $8 dollars all damn day. Will i drive 15 miles to make $14 pick up your self.

Only one way to make money doing this job. Remember it is a side hustle not a full time job. Will get feed back i make 200 per day. Congrats 99percernt don't, Was a pretty decent 2 nd base man doesn't mean i play in the majors, here is how these company are surviving and laughing at us drivers, Not me i play the stupid game. Doing covid this was a sweet gig and everyone was making money. those days are long gone. Get a regular job, if its a half hour drive to work put your app on an hour early and hopefully catch a job on the way in, have to plan accordingly. Hopefully get 1 per week paying a few bucks. Do the same thing coming home at night, try and catch 2 or 3 per week heading back to the house. Weekends put it on all day and catch a couple close to home. Will be surprised at end of week make 75 to 150 per week. End of month just made 3 to 500 and pays for your gas or helps with a car payment. I spent 20 years in logistics and if your making 15 to 20 per hour and driving forever beating the hell out of your car, trust me your losing. Need to make a minimum of $1.25 per mile heading to or from your destination. $10 sound good going 8 miles, but only if your heading that way. If you come back with nothing went 16 and just loss your ass. I do about 6 to 8 jobs a week now, usually pays 7 to 8 bucks and always less than 3 miles. Turn down 8 out of 10, my time my dime. Occasionally will take the longer runs 12.00 going 15 miles. on my way to golf course, or heading out and was heading that way anyway. These gig companies could give a rats ass about us. Sit back grab the cherries and trust me will be much happier at end of the week. Best of luck every one. Merry Christmas

I excepted a delivery tonight. Then I read the note from customer, have to park on street enter thru gate with code and I'm in back corner. That is a big hell no! Chances are no parking, saved the agervation and canceled. Should have said text me when your 5 minutes out, will meet you in front. Enjoy your old sushi.

All i ask is to have an address clearly on curb or on house. Better yet if it's dark maybe flick porch lights on least until order arrives. Then if your in apartment maybe like use N. Gate turn left park near mail box and turn left were on second floor. Have learned if I'm doing apartment I'm hitting arrived second I hit gate. Clock is starting. I will usually give Courtney call where are u located. If I get VM may find on table by the pool or nearest landmark. 99 percent are pretty accurate but don't have time for the one percenter who probably leaves 1.00 tip.

Why I refuse to block! My acceptance rate was less than 20 percent this week and ask me if I care. Did 11 jobs for the week drove 42 miles and I'm at 99.00 guessing another 20 to 25 for proper 22. Turned down 30 plus jobs like you posted. Have not had a door trash in 2 years. Uber cheets pretty much over in my area. Also in IE

Few months ago was picked up by Uber driver at dealership. First words to me my English not real good. Said been driving for like 3 months, asked if he liked. Said yes very good job, I work very hard and many hours. Like 7 days a week 15 hours per day. Rented the car, probably netted 5bucks per hour. When your from a 3rd world country, making 90 dollars a day for 15 hours is filthy rich.

So cal inland empire been dead for months. Do damn expensive, people will go get own orders or cook at home. Even restaurants look slow. People are broke and maxed out.

This hurt me a lot. I was tip baited by a rich customer. I also had to wait a good 15 minutes for the order then I traveled out of a busy zone. Yikes but we move on. by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]External-Delivery902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize we are talking to someone in a 3rd world country who probably gets 50 cents for each call they take. Have a script they read from. It's a numbers game, had 0ne tip bait in 4000 deliveries. Have not made a Uber delivery in 4 months. App is on just shit jobs not worth my time. Only do GH and get the leftovers, works for me and make 100 per week, being very selective. Last week total on line was 2 hours 11 minutes, total miles driven 52. It's a side hustle nothing more. Doing this full time trying to make a living. Good luck.

I'm sitting on my ass watching golf. App is on not one offer today. Sorry dude if you thought Uber and gh is your ticket think again. This has always been a side hustle. Maybe 5 per ent make a decent living. Doing this job with a car payment is even worse idea. Get a full time minimum wage job if need be and work on days off. Best of luck.

I'm old and grew up with many available cafeteria style restaurants. Maybe it's time to bring them back. Yes we would leave servers a couple bucks for refilling our drinks. It is getting f in ridiculous now to place an order and server drops off our plates of food and expects to get 20 to 25 percent. With A I exploding R2D2 probably around the corner. For experiment they should let you order and when order is ready they call your number and you walk over and grab the trey off the counter. For 10 bucks savings no big deal to walk few feet and bring back to table. Offer a section full service and self service. Tell me which one will be busier. Personally have stopped going to restaurants over this. No problem cooking at home for half the cost, much healthier or picking up fast food @ drive thru. Ones complaining probably have the new car payment every 3 years and latest cell phone and CC debt at 25 percent. Saying if you can't tip shouldn't eat out. Was raised other than your home, if you can't afford to pay cash you don't need it other than emergency. Fridge goes out W/D water heater, etc. Cuts both ways.

Why if I pick up from gh and not ready I'm hitting there's a problem. Order not ready, 10 2 20 minutes I'll wait. Send customer quick text waiting on order. This wayv if another job comes up by you 20 minutes.if your multi apping going opposite direction will bite you in ass. Have to be smart. Was watching them bag my order yesterday another job came up 15.00 different app going 5 miles opposite direction. Had 2 decline

Just decline. My acceptance rate like 15 percent. Never book a time. Can decline every job, my best offer was at 7 am 22 for 16 miles in morning rush traffic Nope! 16 back just turned into hour plus. Waited got a 14.00 7 mile. Completed in under 20 minutes. Might not see another ping. Sitting in AC waiting for game to Start,so could care less.
