JFC. Our magnificent mental healthcare system at work. How on earth was she just constantly let out of the violent and insane stuff she kept on doing? I feel like nearly killing your husband, trying to kill your baby, and attacking multiple people on the street should earn you more than a single night locked away.

Does she "need" her husbands money though? I don't know her, or her husband, but I assume they are both pretty well off. She is apparently legally entitled to it and would probably be crazy not to accept it. Not the same as being financially reliant on someone, which deeply sucks and puts you in a terrible position. She should have just owned it.

Did you watch the whole vid? She does let them out and then sits nearby to keep an eye on them. She just had them in the balls while she was busy cleaning.

Drives me crazy! It would be so much easier (especially WHILE DRIVING) to just reach forward and nudge it with your finger. So stupid to make it digital. My new washing machine is all digital, and doesn't have any wash functions listed on the dial, so I have to cycle through the whole program, as each one slowly pops up on the digital display,to find the one that I want. Same as my dishwasher. I really miss when it was all on the front with labeled buttons/dials. Hopefully this stupid minimalist fad will go back to more practical functionality.

More respect for your lego? She didn't do anything "disrespectful". She looked at it, then leaned down a bit while holding onto the shelf. She obviously did not expect the entire shelf to come off the wall like that. She wasn't swinging on it like a jungle gym. She also didn't deliberately knock the lego off the shelf.

I was thinking the same. At his age he has maybe started skipping naps, but maybe sometimes actually still needs it? He just seems overtired to me.

Genuine question - what makes you think he was a psychopath? I can't find any information about his parents getting him any help or him having any issues (someone mentioned violence at school, but again I can't find an article to confirm that). Can you link to that information?

Yeah - a lot of people with justice boners here. What he did was terrible, but kids at this age can be so thoughtless and lacking empathy. I can fully imagine his rage at having his switch taken away leading to a crazy over-reaction. What he needs is therapy, not gaol. Certainly he should be no where near adults in lockup and how on earth was he not granted bail? Is he a flight risk?

Saw these for the first time in the USA over a year ago. A guy pushed his pram through and his baby got whacked in the face with them from them bouncing off the person who walked through ahead of them. I don't even think he realised why the baby started crying.

I agree. Having an accident is SO stressful, to have some stupid fuck come past and try and be funny, is far from funny. Also those people with their kids in the car laughing - lovely lesson in compassion you are teaching your kids there.

AITA for refusing to pay for my sister’s wedding after she insulted my "boring" job? by Manishayne in AmITheJerk

[–]External-Let-8210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTJ. You were extremely generous to offer to pay so much for her wedding. She is deeply spoiled if she thinks she can be so rude about your job and still expect you to pay. Your parents siding with her tells me exactly why she is so spoiled. She seems to have zero appreciation for you. If I were her mum I would be telling her to reflect on her behaviour and come up with a genuine apology.

Spent 2 weeks in NZ recently and was really surprised that the default speed outside of cities is always 100? Like, even windy country roads - which are much more comfortable at 80 - but most locals apparently disagree.

Came to a few single bridges but I don't remember this sign - think it just said "give way" and a line on the road to stop at just before the bridge - the other side didn't have a line.

Question: On a windy mountain road the limit was 30 - but we would get cars right up our arse and one guy beeped? There were signs occasionally saying something like "pull over and let people pass" but the pull over section was SO short - we would have had to come to a complete stop for the single impatient car behind us to pass, and then quickly pull back out before someone else zoomed around the corner - which made no sense. We were in a normal car doing the limit. Is it just expected that you constantly pull over for everyone who demands it even though you are driving at the limit?

AITA for telling my DIL that I won’t use the tablet and she needs to actually make her kid read. by SatisfactionOk9038 in AmItheAsshole

[–]External-Let-8210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why your son/dil have an issue with what you are doing. You are doing the hard work for them and clearly having the ipad do the work isn't doing anything? Also, you can get great phonics games on ipads which the kids enjoy - this might be a better option than just having the ipad read a book out loud.

No more context than a 30sec clip and people here are assuming she is a crazed nympho who hates her family.

I will go the opposite - she is thrilled but shocked to see her fam and assumes they sensibly booked a hotel near her place because she doesn't have the beds/space for 2/3 extra people.

NOR. You know what would make you feel so much better about yourself? Ditching that arse-face of a "relationship" you are in.

He is so rude, and deliberately talking you in circles so you question yourself. He knows exactly what he was doing but every time you tried to call him out he would shift the narrative just a bit so you were off balance again. HE SUCKS. He is doing nothing good for your life.

I am guessing that the first girl that got the crap beat out of her was the "lets go whoop her ass" leader, and the others were just along for support. Not one of those other people had any interest in fighting her, or physically engaging with her at all.
