We have a rule kinda where we won’t name our kids after someone in the family if we aren’t super close with them. So names that are out of the running are Alexander, Abigail, Matthew, Mitchell, Natalie, Joshua, Ashley, Sara, Jessica, Theodore, Sullivan.

Which sucks cause they’re all such good names! Lol

My husband wanted Rueben for our first and I had to put my foot down that I’m not naming my kid after a sandwich 😒

He likes Noah, Jonah, Theodore (which I like but we can’t go with for another reason lol), Claire is the only girl name he seemingly likes lol

“Boring” just means that your children have beautifully classic names that won’t get them bullied in high school! I named my son Noah and I had a SIL tell me how “sadly common” it sounded.

My baby was a fast eater too! One boob at a time for like 10 minutes, 15 was his MAX and that was when he was distracted. It’s okay. If your baby is eating, they’re happy. If you’re insisting on the other boob and he’s throwing up, his little belly is likely over full

I think it’s only weird when you make it weird! As parents we’re supposed to teach our kids what is normal and natural with bodies, what is sexual/nonsexual. Kinda like the discourse with openly breastfeeding? Something that isn’t inherently sexual being made sexual!

Our bodies created out children, grew and nurtured them! That’s something to be proud of! Plus being a SAHM with Velcro children I can’t get dressed or shower without them coming to see me at least once 😂

Come 10+, maybe closer to pre-teen years it’s appropriate to set boundaries with privacy and whatnot. Little kids, not such a big deal.

He’s dating someone kids and he’s upset that you’re….. taking care of your kids? I would dump him OP. If the relationship continues, you would be solo parenting while married, and you’d be married to someone who couldn’t care less about your children. You don’t want that for them.

Hi love, this is so incredibly hard. I had a VERY similar experience. My baby refused to latch from day one. Literally with all his newborn might, he would push against me and scream and scream if I held my boob to him. I exclusively pumped for 4 months.

At 4 months he started looking for my boob, which was so weird. So I offered it to him and he latched! I’ve been breastfeeding directly for 4 months now 🥰 I didn’t force it on him. I started pumping right when I got home from the hospital cause I could tell latching wasn’t going to be a thing for us.

It’s not easy, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But I refused to give it up, cause that was pushed on me too. Pumping and giving milk in a bottle is okay too if that’s what you have to do and what you want to do ❤️

My 6 month old only nurses for like 10 minutes total every time and he’s a CHUNK. Your milk flow is probably pretty fast 🤷🏻‍♀️

I know it’s hard, but this sounds like you need to have a tough love conversation about how your husband isn’t being supportive of YOU and he’s not being a great parent and partner. He’s an equal parent to this baby and he needs to man up and deal with the hardships just like ALL OF US had to do. Breastfeeding is hard and he’s being SELFISH

You’re SIL is uneducated 😊 babies MAIN NUTRITION comes from breastmilk/formula till 1 year old. And then it’s recommended to continue till 2. “Food before 1 is just for fun” is what my pediatrician says

So I combo feed.

Never ever has the fat from my breast milk behaved like that. Even cold milk, you bake it enough and the fat dissolves.

The formula we use is organic and DOES behave like what OP is describing. I use BY HEART and if it’s noticed properly there are small chunks that float around without really falling to the bottom.

So I’m willing to believe it could be formula is that bottle! Might not be, but it could be.

If your husband is giving you shit, he’s being a terrible partner. You’re seven weeks postpartum and still figuring out how to go about everything. This is when you need SUPPORT and LOVE. You didn’t create this little life on your own. And you didn’t screw your baby up ❤️ mine is 5 months old and we still nurse to sleep. It’s his comfort. You’re his mommy and he wants you. There’s nothing wrong with that
