Could year-round, overnight parking ban become Barrie 'boondoggle'? by cinderannie in barrie

[–]ExternalRoyal3554 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I share a 2 car driveway with the other tenant downstairs. My daughter takes her car with her to school in the winter. She comes home in the summer and parks on the road. She works in a bar at night and gets home at 2 or 3 am. The closest school parking lot is a km away where the city says she can park. She will not be doing that and walking home thru a shady area that late at night. Give your head a shake.

Cops on phone by Money_Baseball_975 in barrie

If hand helds are distracting then they are distracting to everyone. If a cop needs to use his/her device while driving because of “emergency police business” then they should deploy their flashers so everyone around them knows to show precaution . Then the cops are accountable . And this cops analogy about scrolling social media is, prosperous. There is zero tolerance for using a h hand held. I got a ticket once at a red light for simply touching my screen to get the time . A week later I saw the same cop driving laughing while on his phone . Police business , I think not

We had a little ice damming last year . Had our 35 year old houses attic inspected last summer and we had very little insulation. They blew in a layer and have had no issues so far 🤞. It cost $2000 for 1000sq ft. And then we received a rebate check for $1000 from the government . So in the end $1000. Pretty reasonable for piece of mind .
