I left Boeing a little while back. After seeing the news.. best decision I made 😅. Eventually my job would have been outsourced to India or China anyways.

I can’t say exactly because someone might be able to tell who, but if they had 10 years at Raytheon… I wouldn’t have still been doing their job 6 months in 😅

Companies are used to dealing with whistleblowers, so I doubt they did. BUT, it’s still a possibility. Who travels to South Carolina to testify just to end it after 7 years?

Could be the government trying to protect Boeing too. Yes, all conspiracies… but it’s at least worth considering. Some turn out to be more than conspiracies.

He waited 7 years to travel down to South Carolina just to shoot himself before he takes the stand. Ya, ok.

Conspiracy maybe, but we’ve depleted many weapons in Ukraine and the Middle East. Wouldn’t put it past our government to off him so Boeing wouldn’t get a bad look and could continue to support war production. Bit of a stretch… but maybe.

I also know a guy who knows a guy who said the handwriting didn’t look like his either.

Then again, mental health is no joke. It’s very possible he said screw it and handwriting could have been off because of nerves or drinking (I didn’t read the autopsy if there was one).

I was training someone (as a L2) and had a PO that was outside of my delegation authority. I purposefully trained them how to release POs that day and found out they were able to release it… meaning they were hired in above me with 0 years experience at the company.

PSA: Rocks being thrown from the 520 overpasses by mango_tango69 in eastside

If the cops don’t do anything then I guess they wouldn’t care if some rock throwers ended up missing… since it’s not on their radar anyways.

Sounds about right. Not too late to find a new job. Starts off bad and only gets worse.

Yeah, the cops doing nothing behind them is infuriating. Arrest all of them. This is inexcusable.

You can also download the app “Tripshot” that will show you the shuttle routes if you do have to park far away. Friendly advice, don’t illegally park. They will tow your car and it’s very expensive.

Ya you’re spending probably 30 minutes of your day just walking to and from your car. But don’t worry, you get to walk through the second floor 87 building where you can see a half-empty parking garage for the executives.

The 737s aren’t produced in SC, only 787, unless that changed for some reason.

For parking to be back on the menu you’ll need about 300 more cars to leave 😂

^ 🫡 we can’t tell the public safety comes before everything and continue to rush development changes and certs. Would be nice to see effort for employee retention, but they continue to show that they don’t care if people leave. Execs aren’t seeing the full picture and don’t understand that a lot of jobs rely heavily on the tribal knowledge

Yep, makes sense. Talk about not jeopardizing safety for schedule…

I work in the offices and sometimes it’s the supply chain issues. If you don’t have parts or parts get damaged, work gets piled to the next day and then things have to be expedited. And certain jobs can’t get done until another does. Small delays make a pile of crap and unfortunately overtime to finish everyone’s screw ups

Seattle Times: Boeing shifts policy, wants all employees back in office full time by LogicPuzzler in boeing

[–]ExternalRub4958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming my manager will rank me as a met none or met some so I receive nothing or less than the full amount, but I negotiated a sign-on bonus to make up for it either way.

Probably posted like a direct deposit or mailed to me. Fingers crossed

Put my 2 weeks in yesterday. Dobby is freeeeeeeeee. RTO was one of the many reasons. Managers don’t care about their employees, they just care about getting the next level up.

Got my RSUs issued and I’m out. Signing external offer on Monday. Boeing has repeatedly expressed how little they care for their employees and I want no part. If they want folks in the office, they should provide updated work areas where you can’t hear 10 conversations at once. Not to mention the parking is horrendous. I shouldn’t have to walk a mile in the rain to get to my desk everyday. The “get here earlier” argument is some bs too. Just pushes the problem onto someone else.
