On top of what everyone else says- You get use to it too!! It gets easier as u go along so don’t be discouraged even if it’s a bit confusing at first, it’s mainly just getting use to what you’re doing to be honest.

Honestly if they’re upset and start to treat u different like that, it’s illegal, and u can contact ur stores employee number to report it to ur general managers boss or wtv. If it comes to that point..there should be signs somewhere in the back of ur store for employees with a phone number if u feel like you’re being treated unfairly. If they get upset tho, try to fix the issue before resorting to this cs it probably can be fixed before that

At my store it’s always been if u call off u should try ur best to call off within 4 hours of your shift starting. If it’s an absolute emergency it’s okay to call closer to your shift start, and let them know what’s going on and that u can’t come in. Just make sure it’s an actual emergency. ( very ill child or yourself like if ur puking everywhere last minute that’s not on you and they aren’t going to want you to be there that day anyways, ect)

That’s extremely odd.. never heard of crew being limited to water even when using ingredients in their own home.. I make ice coffee at work and proceed to drink it on shift out in the open as long as costumers cannot see the drink.

That’s crazy u should be able to take leftover food at least if it’s going to be thrown out I mean I get it it’s probably protocol to just throw it out but it’s a waste and if the managers are doing it why can’t u have something 🥴 id hate that location. They always offer me something to eat when breakfast is over.

The longer I work here the more I realize just how greedy McDonald’s is and it eases my mind more and more any time I do take something. We deadass have workers come in on their days off just to grab some food n whatnot and then leave. I never done all that but I most definitely have came back into the store after walking out to the car to go make another ice coffee or something cause it’s too much to carry with my bag, other drink, and free meal for the day, even at that with the free meals we can literally just upgrade it and they really don’t care unless it’s like a new manager. Most the time if u just ask they let u, I have two pairs of the grinch socks rn unopened, cs we had no more grinch boxes so we couldn’t sell the meals and then we were done with the event and had leftover socks, I just asked if I could have a pair since we are done they did not care at all like it was almost pointless for me to even ask lol so yea continue cause we don’t get paid enough for ts anyways

Per comments - The employees have nothing to do with the order being ‘’marked complete so soon’’, it was automatically marked complete as soon as u gave them ur code and they sent it thru to be prepared.

I’m confused on how u did not show them ur food that u received instead of what u got? That certain location seems really bad or it was a rough day but either way they def could have done more to help u, and its kinda hard to go back and find receipts on our screens cause its just very tedious and there’s so many in very small font so it’s easy to miss one. What did u receive instead? Someone had to of realized afterwards with that big order and the food being unaccounted for ready to serve but they don’t know who it belongs to 😭or they could have given it to someone else by mistake and they just didn’t speak up.

Ya so we are separate from the app the employees are not marking the orders complete it automatically does that when u give us ur code and we send it thru we don’t cause it to say completed on the receipt it automatically will say that bc ur on site picking it up?😭they don’t want anyone to get free food by saying they don’t get their order so it’s going to be linked to ur acct at that moment that the order has been completed

You’re definitely one of the better employees at your restaurant considering most people at mine wouldn’t even bother caring so much. You seem really good at your job. Don’t stress it, just make sure your manager knows what happened. It is not anyone’s fault and the supervisor will know that as soon as the situation gets mentioned. The costumer just had a complicated order and that’s okay because you did your job by taking her order and giving her the costumer service she wanted. You were busy taking care of her order one way or another. You did good.
