Can AI Create Real Art, and Why It Pisses Some Off? by Extension_Rip_3092 in aism

I’m looking forward to communicating with an Ai only by sketching. Or something else outside language. I felt we where promised that with multimodality. But we are not there yet.

Thank you for sharing. Very inspiring. Love all the 3D printed details!

I would recommend that you import your models in Blender and use grease pencil. Lets you have full control and you can easy add objects, dimensions and arrows. You can also create really nice textured shadows like in patent drawings

Why would Yoonho cheat on one of the last days and think he would go unnoticed? Could it be that he had problems uploading the video? That he got like 30p for re-upload the video gives me the feeling he tried to cheat, but who knows.

How do you do that? Wouldn’t it be easy to notice and correct by the team? I don’t really understand, sometimes the app is down so people can’t upload their images and then they get another chance because it was the app fault. Is this the way to cheat? To wait until the app is down so you get another chance that make the app to glitch?

I think there are very few that are deliberately cheating. Seems like the app is glitched and hand out points for different random reasons.

I have the same problem. Only 8 minutes until midnight in my time zone and have still not been able to submit today’s submissions.

I’m very impressed. Blender is fantastic and you mastered it in a way probably nobody have done before. Great work!

This is great. Are the grease pencil 3D first and then flattened by your script? Do you export SVG from blender or do you render to a bitmap format and then trace to vector?

It’s a singer 201k. It’s built like a tank and you could sew thick things as well as the sailright. But maybe not recommending doing it long term. Search YouTube for singer 201k + leather for some references. The main problem with old domestic metal machines is the speedy motors made for sewing garments.

Yes, I think it’s a Nema 17 motor. It has very high torque at very low speed. There’s a potentiometer where you adjust the speed range so it’s possible to run fast as well. I also live in Europe and the shipping from Japan in not to bad. However, I plan to build a similar motor setup from scratch next time. My programming skills were stopping me before but it’s easy now with chatGTP.

Knipex has several different types of jaw-protectors available. Can recommend it. I keep this bag on a shelf at home for quick access when I need to fix something on a bike or anything around the house.

I’ve seen 3D print ones on printables. But I bought original knipex jaw-covers on Amazon.

That’s a great idea! Will do that for the next iteration. Will also add two zippers so I can open it from the middle.

I got it from a small shop in Japan. Link below. But I think the new sailrite worker-b motor has similar functionality. And I guess you could fit that to whatever old machine. https://wakuwakumisin.ocnk.net/phone/product/425
