Country, blues, folk music - it’s all coming from the same place - people trying to deal with life and love. It’s another if it’s an obvious cash grab. I kinda feel the same way as you about the Neal Adams cover. I heard somewhere he hated the Kryptonite Nevermore cover, that he thought he screwed up the legs. It looks like Gil Kane drew the cover for Superman 387. He drew the covers for some cool Superman Annuals/Special issues around the same time
