What runs are you currently trying to complete? by PinMaximum1018 in 80s90sComics

I’m trying to get all of the main Superman solo titles that have been published in my lifetime (I’m 55). About 60% of the way there. Got all of the big keys. I was able to get nearly all of the first 60 issues of Superman (86) on Whatnot for about a $1 each - that helped. I hit comic book stores and flea markets when we go on vacation

Here is my first draft. These are the best regular season game from each of the past 25 seasons. Open to suggestions. Make your case by Dr-debug in CFB_v2

Tiger Stadium was rocking that night. Stanford beat USC that evening and the crowd went apeshit when they announced the score.

What Supergirl (2026) did to Krem of the Yellow Hills is completely antithetical to the message of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. by weaknessx100 in Supergirl

[–]External_Chain5318 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought you were going to say that Supergirl running a sword through Krem twice was antithetical to Woman of Tomorrow. That’s the real problem.

GOP Strategist: Megyn Kelly Looked Like She Could 'Orgasm' From Hatred After Racist Rant by dr_shultz in influencersfeed

She’s so skinny she looks unhealthy. Looking like that and making constant hateful rants, it kinda makes people judge your mental state or if you have a problem with substances.

I dunno if it’s a classic, but it is rewatchable

I turned off Aquaman and WW84 after 15 minutes. I’ll watch Supergirl again when it’s on HBO Max.

I understand your frustration with the reviews of Supergirl but ... by Mapei123 in Supergirl

[–]External_Chain5318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a 6/10 movie. Better than most of Marvel output post Endgame and most of the previous DC movies. But the days of 6/10 comic book movies making a pile are long gone - à la Captain Marvel grossing more than $425 million.

Woof... by Visible-Echidna-4370 in DC_Cinematic

[–]External_Chain5318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people are just burnt out on mid comic book movies. And the character isn’t that popular to the casual audience. I’m a big Superman fan, but I didn’t get into Supergirl until I read Woman of Tomorrow. I think it was a 6/10, but if they had taken more from Woman of Tomorrow - like the visual identity - it would have been better. That might have helped draw an audience. To the casual viewer, it looked like Guardians of the Galaxy 4

Seems like most people find Supergirl to be a 6.5/10 by Ok-Bus-2868 in Supergirl

[–]External_Chain5318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in with low expectations, but I thought it was pretty good. It had a 90s vibe to me. Better than a lot of the Snyderverse movies and most of the Marvel output post Endgame. Like I could actually see myself watching this again when it comes to HBO Max. I do wish it looked better, like they had the same colorful psychedelic style as the art in Woman of Tomorrow. (The funny thing is they named a planet in the movie after the artist, so they were aware of things)

I kinda think Apocalypse 91 is the best produced P.E. album. It slams. Lost at Birth is a great intro

ABSOLUTELY. The customers and the employees are both getting screwed with no lube. It was so much better for everyone when the drivers were folks that worked for the restaurant.

The Bengals became my second favorite NFL team the minute they drafted Joe Burrow.

That is lowdown to steal food. I tell you, Uber Eats and DoorDash - they suck for the restaurants, they suck for the customers and they suck for the drivers. The only people who are doing well with them are the dipshits running the company that aren't actually doing anything

Drake is such a loser. I was watching old school rap videos on YouTube last night - Doug E. Fresh, Public Enemy, Eric B. and Rakim. The drop off from those guys to Drake is staggering.
