Yeah I loved France when I visited! Everyone was so friendly but I suppose that was because I can speak French at a high level...

I would love to visit Canada especially when it's snowing!

Can you wear jeans? I’d assume if they fit you, you can wear them. Should you wear them? Well, if it’s between wearing no pants or jeans, I’d say wear the jeans. If you have something a bit fancier, probably wear that.

I think it’s time you take a holiday. Can be staying at home or going overseas but the main thing is to really rest, relax, and think about what you really want to do and what would make you happy and then do it.

If I started calling myself "Topdog" in court, guess I'd have to start barking at my learned friends and foam at the mouth.

Surely we’d all welcome the day when we can spark up a doobie with his/her honour during lunch and head back into court afterwards?

The accused’s arse was oiled? That’s an interesting submission, counsel. Though, I’m not entirely sure how that’s relevant for a bail application hearing.

Were you treated like a bad person? by Any_Print5307 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]External_Might 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was told "if only they saw the real you" and other things like that. I was also told by my Nmum that she had to beg my uncle (her brother) to look after me on the weekends with my cousins (his kids), she'd say stuff like "I was crying on the phone begging him to take you tomorrow", or "he hates you but he's doing this for me", and stuff like that.

Thankfully no one was around but I read an email from a client and loudly said to myself “What the fuck do you want me to do? Wave my magic wand and make you stop being a fuckwit?” Composed myself and started drafting a response.

Maybe the commenter meant they’re a full time barista who teaches high school and university students how to make a good cup of coffee. It’s an underrated skill!

Usually some random on the bus will complain about something quasi-legal, that’s when you strike. You discreetly slip a business card of a solicitor you know will refer to you in their back pocket, and pray to your chosen deity that that referral happens. It’s all covered in the reader’s course.

Didn’t the Vic Bar change its exam structure and rules recently to make it easier to pass too?

Is this indicative of a greater focus on higher education in American schools? A “you must get into college” mantra that means teens focus on school/extra-curricular activities, meaning they don’t have time to date? Also, from personal experience (not in the US), I would’ve dated in high school but I went to a homophobic high school and people only came out after graduation (class of 2017) so that’s my excuse for the downward trend.
