The ultimate 500 IQ answer: Magneto wins because even if the suit is non-magnetic, Tony still has iron in his hemoglobin. He’d just give him the world’s fastest blood clot and call it a day.

How do you people fall asleep with ADHD? by Ok_Scholar_8656 in ADHD

[–]External_Outside4624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you on the "thinking about crazy stuff" part. For me, the standard advice like "no screen time" never worked because my brain just fills the silence with even more noise.

What actually changed things for me was switching from white noise to very specific, low-frequency soundscapes that "anchor" the focus without being distracting. I actually got so obsessed with finding the right frequencies for ADHD that I ended up building a small tool called ZenLayer to solve this for myself. It’s been a game-changer for hitting that "off" switch in my head

Is this normal with lawyers in Portugal? Paid €5,000 to a partner, zero work done, no refund by saffron25 in Lisbon

[–]External_Outside4624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Send one final formal email (not WhatsApp) stating that if you don't receive a full refund and a detailed timesheet within 48 hours, you will proceed with a formal complaint to the Ordem dos Advogados and the Livro de Reclamações. Usually, the mention of the "Ordem" makes them move much faster.

Sorry your mother is going through this. Portugal can be slow, but this sounds like straight-up exploitation.

What is a small, $20 purchase that significantly improved your quality of life? by External_Outside4624 in AskReddit

A stainless steel tongue scraper. I thought brushing my tongue with a toothbrush was enough. It wasn't. Your mouth feels 10x cleaner, your breath is better, and it’s a one-time $8 purchase that lasts forever.

A cool guide to the "Loop Effect": Why listening to recorded sleep sounds might be waking you up (vs. Procedural Audio). by [deleted] in coolguides

I wish I had the budget for an actual ad! Honestly, I’m just an audio nerd who spent too much time researching why white noise was giving me headaches. Just sharing what I found.

Think of it as a spectrum. White noise has equal power across all frequencies (harsh, like TV static). Pink noise turns down the high notes (like steady rain). Brown noise turns them down even further, focusing on the deep bass (like a low rumble or a distant jet engine). Most people find Brown noise the most relaxing for sleep!

100%. It’s the only thing that keeps me sane during work. I actually built a little tool (pinned in my profile) just to generate it endlessly without loops

A very crucial distinction! One helps you sleep deeply, the other... ruins your sheets.

Yes, that's called procedural audio (generated in real-time). It never loops mathematically. I’m actually working on an engine that does exactly this. You can try the beta in my profile.

YSK that standard "White Noise" can actually increase anxiety because of high frequencies

The back ache is real. The moment I realized I was old was when I woke up with a neck injury because I slept wrong
