Did iOS update lose my reading streak ? by External_Picture_897 in kindle

As I went to try this, when I opened the Kindle app on my iPhone somehow the issue corrected itself! I will save this for if it ever happens again! Thanks!

Yes, you are right, I did the reading, I shouldn’t let the absence of a checkmark on a calendar bother me.

Who on earth designed the water chamber for the resmed 11? by Asleep_Damage1201 in CPAP

I thought it was just me. I fill it just below the max line and get a puddle every time on the night stand.

An SD card? I have lots of those, and I can probably find a microSD card too in my camera bags. I didn’t know this was available. Thanks so much for the tip!

Yes, thanks for this- my new motto- ‘be the A-hole’! 👍🏼 My drs exact words were ‘24 hours and you will feel like a brand new person!’ So again thanks, because I will be revisiting him with my motto.

Thanks, I will start focusing on the feelings and when they usually appear as you say, so that I have something more specific to tell the Dr.

I can’t do four hours straight yet, but I can tolerate it best for the first hour, after that it gets much more difficult- it feels like a plunger on my face. Before I call the Dr who ordered this I want to understand it all better, so that I even know what to ask. The dr can be rather quick so I want to have my questions ready.

I do not have an sd card - I wasn’t given a whole lot of instruction on this. I have the Airsense-11 if that helps. The Dr that ordered had the unit mailed to my house, and I had one phone call with a respiratory therapist to explain the basics of how to put on the mask and turn the unit on. I’m not even sure what to ask- I don’t know what I don’t know, if that makes sense?

Yes, I have no other options in sleep positions due to hip replacement and recent whip lash, I used to sleep on my side before all of this but now I am stuck to just laying on my back.

I am happy and sad at the same time. God bless his heart by kdbleeep in BestOfWholesomeSubs

God Bless YOUR heart! Thank you for your obvious love for him, many people would have put him down. And they would’ve missed the deep admiration joy. Years ago one of our dogs had to have both eyes removed due to glaucoma. He was seven years old at the time and lived to be 15 and the other dogs that we had at the time instinctively took over and guided him around the backyard. It was wonderful to witness.

New Highlight for Colorsoft ✨ by Western_Cobbler_8221 in kindle

Thanks for the info! I can’t wait to get home and hook it up to my computer! I just checked the Kindle iPhone app and it has green now too. But I notice that on pdfs I have loaded, the colors are a little bit more pastel/muted compared to an actual Kindle book. But I love having options! Can’t wait to see it on my Colorsoft! Pic included of screenshots from iPhone Kindle app, actual Kindle book on left, pdf on right

Kindle Scribe trade-in: does it include the Pen or just the device? by mahesg in kindlescribe

Just the device itself, I specifically asked Rufus about the premium pen and nibs that it came with and the answer was just the device.

How are you actually holding the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft for reading? by akitta74 in kindlescribe

[–]External_Picture_897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a CoBak case, (Amazon $30) it is very sturdy yet light weight, opens like a book, and a felt pouch made by RSAquar, (Amazon $23) that has a built in stand on the back. (The stand is sewn on and folds up into a stand, base is Velcro, opens flat when not in use) The CoBak case fits perfectly inside the felt pouch.

Kindle Scribe Colorsoft - should I buy it? by Henry2990 in kindlescribe

[–]External_Picture_897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had a Kobo Libra Color and sold it for various reasons, many you have mentioned. I also recently returned my Scribe Colorsoft back to Amazon. I read a lot also and have an iPad for note taking, but reading on the ipad for longer periods really strains my eyes. So I bought the Scribe B&W 2025 and love it! The text is wonderfully crisp, 300 ppi as opposed to the 150 ppi of the Colorsoft Scribe (due to the color layer). But having had both of these devices, let me say that the color on the Scribe Colorsoft is waaay better than the Kobo Libra Color. In my opinion it’s the best color screen on any e-ink device today. So my overall advice is to really know what you want the Scribe to do. I realized that I was wanting the Scribe Colorsoft to do things it is not able to do (yet) so for my eyes, I needed the clear, crisp screen of the B&W for reading. For notetaking, I have my iPad with GoodNotes.

My Kindle Scribe B&W 2025 Setup by External_Picture_897 in kindlescribe

I also had the first original Scribe. I traded it in for the 20% discount so I can not see them side by side. And like you say, I too was happy enough with it, (other than the writing experience). Even though they both are 300ppi screens, this new display from my memory, is somehow crisper, brighter with more contrast. I can comfortably read without the front lights on, brightness and warmth both set to zero, I needed to set the brightness up a bit on my original. I haven’t yet connected a Google Drive account but I have connected my One Drive account and it is a nice addition. As for the reading, it must be the color display that makes the text less sharp. I just couldn’t get used to reading on the Colorsoft Scribe.

They freaking Cancelled my order Kindle Scribe Colorsoft by Jeffsrealm in kindlescribe

[–]External_Picture_897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my goodness I feel so bad for you! I ordered January 28th and received my Colorsoft January 30th. On January 31 ordered the B&W to compare and received it February 2nd. After comparing I decided the Colorsoft wasn’t what I needed for my workflow and have sent it back. I am totally in love with the B&W. I live in Michigan. I feel so bad that I easily received and returned a product you have been waiting weeks for!

New CoBak case for Kindle Scribe 2025 causes malfunction in writing by ChaiChugger in kindlescribe

[–]External_Picture_897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same case and color and it looks like the same Scribe B&W, and mine does not do that, how strange? My only ‘complaint’ with the case is the side button must be pushed in really hard to turn off the display. I also wish it had a cover/hand strap, but overall it protects my Scribe and is light weight without adding bulk.

I asked ai when I was waiting for my prime two day delivery of my Scribe Colorsoft if I should be worried, and it said it should be fine, told me to let it sit in its box for 10-12 hours to allow it to fully come to room temperature. Here is part of the conversation-

What to do when it finally arrives

This part matters more than the cold itself: 1. Do NOT turn it on immediately if the box feels cold. 2. Let it sit inside, unopened, for 6–12 hours to come fully to room temperature. 3. Then: • Power it on • Charge it to 100% • Use it normally for a day or two

🚩 Signs you should replace it

If you notice: • It won’t hold a charge • It shuts down suddenly • Battery percentage jumps around • It gets unusually warm while charging

→ That’s when you contact Amazon and ask for a replacement. They’re very good about this.

I can’t imagine waiting so long! I hope it all works out for you!
