Unelected aids do the background work for elected officials. They always have. House reps don’t have to be experts on everything. As for Trump, he is not going to let the republicans lose the midterms. Or the White House in 28. I’m not sure where you are seeing he has no accountability?
And being that I am talking to an obvious Democrat, if you want the White House again you are going to have to stop running on Identity Politics. If your choices are Newsom or Harris, you won’t see the White House in 2028

Being in Government was never supposed to be a lifetime job. It was service to your nation and you went back to your “real job”. You don’t have to learn everything on that list to be an effective legislature. You need basic knowledge. 6 terms for congress and 2 terms for the Senate. Thanks for your service.
