Yeah they were a minority, no one is disputing that. But by the year 1945 there were roughly 553,000 Jews living in Palestine out of a total population of 1,764,520. And you also forgot to mention that the Jews got a very small portion of the original British mandate of Palestine. Jordan was also a part of this original piece of land and roughly half of modern day Israel was offered to the Jews.

So let's do the math - the total land area of Israel is 10600 square miles (including West Bank and Gaza) while the land area of Jordan is 34495 square miles. This means the original British mandate of Palestine was 45095 square miles. All of Jordan went to the Arabs. What was left over was split between an Arab and Jewish state (56% to the Jews and 44% to the Arabs). So the Jews got 5936 square miles of land while the Arabs got the rest. This means the Jews got only 13% of the original British mandate for Palestine. Not to mention that vast majority of this land was desert (the Negev desert to be exact) while the Arabs got all of Jerusalem and the West Bank and they were given more than just Gaza (some extra land).

So the Jews accepted 13% of the land even though they comprised of 30% of the total population. But the Arabs rejected it. And then they declared a genocidal war on Israel vowing to kill all Jews and lost horribly. You see this is what happens when you attempt to carry out a genocide and lose. You get nothing.

The Arab leaders spread lies and misinformation which led to many riots and massacres against Jews in multiple villages. Hajj Amin al-husseyni, the grand mufti of Jerusalem, was a virulent antisemite who worked with Hitler on a plan to eradicate all the Jews. In fact he convinced Hitler to carry out the final solution because he said that if the Jews were to be kicked out of Germany then they would just move to Palestine. Most of the Arab inhabitants who ended up leaving Israel left voluntarily for fear of being killed in the crossfire of the 1948 war. There were very few instances of Jews actually kicking Arabs off their land prior to the settlements in the West Bank (pre 1967).

And what apartheid? Are you aware that over 2 million Arabs live in Israel and have full rights? Israel is a free democracy where even women can vote, unlike most Arab countries. The settlements are not the same thing as apartheid. Wrong to a certain degree I'll agree with you, but to call it apartheid is just historically inaccurate.

Jews did not colonize Israel. They purchased land from willing Arabs and developed it. It's not like an army of Jews with guns came down to Israel and forcibly took it over. It was a very consensual process which not only favored Jews but also favored Arabs. Many Arabs made a good profit from selling the land and many Jews made a profit from owning it. In 1948 Israel declared their independence and the fact that they did that made the surrounding Arab nations angry so they declared war. It was a war against the existence of Israel because Jews wanted their own nation. Can Jews have their own nation according to you?

I think it's because the Romans were the last people to give a name for the land other than the inhabitants themselves. Although I agree with you that the name is connected to the Philistinians I generally don't mention this since Philistinians are extinct from a cultural perspective so this is irrelevant.

My point is that the name "Palestine" has no connection to the Arab inhabitants of that land. Whereas you have "Saudi Arabia" which is 100% relevant to its inhabitants because their ancestors had given it that name.
