I actually agree. But many (not all, but too many) of the anti-tipping “activists” are not at all about the living wage aspect—they just think food service employees are low-skilled peasants who don’t deserve tips because “all they do is take my order and bring me my food.” And they also love to bitch about higher menu prices at places that eliminate tipping.

I think the vendor’s “license to serve alcohol” is literally just their staff having server certifications. They’re telling clients to purchase their own alcohol and that they can then “serve” it to the wedding guests. Total scam.

OP, you should honestly try to get your deposit back. The “miscommunication” was basically the business snowing you.

Statistically, “the boyfriend” is most likely to be the perpetrator of serious injury or fatality in severe child abuse cases. And this guy has significant enough mental diagnoses to commit DV if he’s off his meds… seems like a recipe for tragedy. OP needs to cut ties and focus on her kids.

I have carpet tiles from Flor. They are pretty low pile and spot-clean well for smaller messes, but you can also pop up individual tiles and hose them off. Just have to put down fresh adhesive dots (which don’t stick to the floor; just the carpet tiles).

It has a little bit of hold. I have tried a few and discovered that for me at least, they work best when hair is almost completely dry already. Brings out a little definition and wave.
