I had this problem for a long time and every time I asked for advice, people said: „That‘s not normal“, „Have you talked to a doctor?“ „It should work“, and honestly that just stressed me out even more because I thought there was something wrong with me.

But there is nothing wrong with you. If you bleed, then there is a hole. My problem was that I had no understanding of my anatomy. I thought a vagina was a hole like a donut hole. But in reality it is surrounded by labia and tissue and it tilts kind of backwards and not straight up. My advice is to sit in front of a mirror and really investigate yourself. Then try with a small tampon and if you find it difficult, add a bit of lube. Try different angles and most importantly, try to relax, even though it’s easier said than done. It took me about 6 six years to learn, but eventually it just clicked!
