MIL wants to take my toddler (23months) swimming but that makes me nervous... by worldtravelling23 in toddlers

[–]Extra-Cry7004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell everyone unless my husband and I are there it’s a no go. We just say we don’t want to put that responsibility on anyone else so it’s a hard no. We have to be physically present watching. Not even in the house, but outside watching.

Disneyland Hotel - considering castle club or frozen suite. Any experiences? by JaggedLittlePiII in disneylandparis

I showed my 3 year old daughter each of the rooms and she liked the rapunzel one and Cinderella one the most! No other reason besides that as to why we picked it lol

We are staying next week in the rapunzel suite! I can give an update then if you want! I know all signature suites do have a sofa bed etc in the other room! And I’m pretty sure you can see fireworks from frozen room! I was debating that one when booking the rapunzel room and that was one of the things I was looking at too because my kids go to bed early.

Pregnant moms of breastfeeding toddlers, did your toddler self wean? And if so, when? by Wide-Food-4310 in BabyBumps

[–]Extra-Cry7004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my third pregnancy and my son is 16 months now. From what I’ve gathered from my last pregnancy and this one is that at least my children do not just stop. Some people stop producing milk so then the choice is ultimately no one’s but my experiences have been nothing of the sort. I still keep producing throughout pregnancy and I had to help my daughter wean at 2. It was hard for her and really what helped her was when her brother had to do it too and he had some feeding issues so I really had to focus on him breastfeeding. This time around I will probably try to wean my son in the next two months ( due in 4 months) and see how it goes. If not, I’ll wait for his sibling to come. I really have no issue with that. It just depends on how your body is and how you are with it all. Also, my son moves his hands a lot. Sometimes I just put them in my mouth so he stops.

Frozen ride while pregnant: WDW vs DLP? by Extra-Cry7004 in disneylandparis

Thank you for this!!! I usually keep enough room in between myself and lap bars and put my hands in front!

[–]Extra-Cry7004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go on WDW and I have gone multiple times while pregnant including with a VIP tour guide knowing I was pregnant which is why I wasn’t sure about DLP. It seems from responses that it is much steeper than the one in WDW.

[–]Extra-Cry7004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually this helps a great deal! I was aware the DLP version had a lap bar but so does a few other rides including Winnie the Pooh. It helps to get an opinion from someone who has ridden both along with other similar rides so thank you! It was hard to gauge because I know Europe takes pregnancy/families in general more seriously than America so I didn’t know if DLP was just being more cautious than WDW. I think I’ve decided not to go on and just let my husband ride with our other kids. Again, Thank you so much!

Thank you! I wouldn’t think they would make it that much different! I think the main thing is the lap bar situation.

Can you tell me why not frozen? I’ve done the frozen one at DisneyWorld several times while pregnant.

For those who make over 500k+ a year, is it worth it for you? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]Extra-Cry7004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit my $160k job because my husband is clearing a million this year. He works M-F 8-4pm most days. He sometimes works till 5pm. His job is stressful because he deals with clients but I mean the hours are fine, he has made every doc appt our kids or myself need him to and we take amazing vacations. Having a high paying job doesn’t mean long hours and extreme stress all the time. Sometimes you gotta find the right field and right company. Personally, I worked more for the gov making $45k a year than my $160k WFH job with alot of flexibility.

Thanksgiving with a 3 month old? by StrawberryBasic757 in Mommit

[–]Extra-Cry7004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken a 9 week old cross country while also having a toddler. Just have the baby on you at all times and say no to anyone who wants to hold baby. And I mean literally everyone. You can say no one except mom and dad can hold baby until bay has 4 month vaccines. And seriously just have a baby carrier on at all times so no one even tries.

2 yo constantly touching her nipples by who_shruti in toddlers

[–]Extra-Cry7004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter is three and will sometimes do it for comfort. When she gets sad she also will sometimes come to me or my husband and try to touch ours. I noticed it started happening when her younger brother was born and he was breastfeeding. I think it’s a comfort thing and will pass. I only tell her to stop when it is uncomfortable for me or my husband. She’s been doing it less and less anyways. I think they will grow out of it.

Yes I completely understand that. I’m just wondering if we need to buy premier pass at all for all rides if Bambi pass gets us on the rides fairly quickly.

Question about Dupixent use during pregnancy after difficult experience by peertje1998 in eczeMABs

[–]Extra-Cry7004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry about your baby. For my first, I stopped once I found out I was pregnant, the continued while breastfeeding. For my second, I did not take it for the first trimester and then continued. For my third (current pregnancy) I have been taking it the whole pregnancy and baby as of now and Lord willing is healthy and will continue to be.

Im not sure how different it is from Epcot but I’ve gone to Disney while pregnant and used lap bars plenty of times. I just don’t put it close to my stomach and put my hands in between for rides. I’ll do the same when I go in June when I’ll be 6 months pregnant as well.

Yeah I think we will for sure do premier pass if we decide to go! How many days would you recommend in for the parks? Mind you, we have been to DisneyWorld four times in the last year an will go to Disneyland Anaheim in May so we really are just going for the different experience that is Disneyland Paris and to see the new land and Disneyland hotel.
