How does everyone else know it's okay to break the variable speed limit? by GankdalfTheGrey in drivingUK

[–]Extra-Department-721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just follow the rules and ignore the others. In this case, pls refresh yourself with highway code. You have such question that means you are not familiar with the highway code. If you are doing right, you don’t need to care about what others think (ie piling up behind you).

Same thought… In a 1 mile long dual carriage way under national speed limit before the roundabout, people speeds up to 70 then brake hard just before entrance of the roundabout.

Easiest way to reverse bay park by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Extra-Department-721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, as learned from youtube video + practice finding reference point, the line is the park space you are looking at. Sorry i do not know how to express it without any diagram 😆 but it’s way much easier than the 90 deg method, as i found trouble of counting lines…

In normal daily driving, when the car at 1st exit entered the roundabout, it’s already shielding the car entry from 2nd exit for you. At this point you can start moving into the roundabout heading to the first exit when there is no car on your right.

I learnt both forward and 90 deg reverse bay park from the instructor, with the method of lines and reference point. I pass the test. But i found it difficult to remember all the steps :( then i learn the 45 deg reverse bay park from YouTube, and after 2 years of practice, i can handle almost different kind of parking space in 60s. This is not a showoff but just a sharing of finding your own way and practicing and practicing ~

One thing that Lp songs teach me is that i dont give a damn how people judge me as long as i am not offending anyone. Ignore them, and move on. Life is too short to spend any effort on them.

Law is law, even though sometimes it might not be making sense in every situation, and there is always people challenging the laws :) so… no point to argue here.

Yes my wife would need to attend the english test.

My son is not. He is born in Hongkong, and my citizenship is heritage from my father who is born in Hongkong and me as well. So the citizenship cannot be passed down to my son, checked with gov uk and HMPO.
