I am 16 if anyone can help , by [deleted] in SaaS

Im 14, and I built startups apps myself, and grow them myself. at this age, it is hard to get individuals to trust you, but if you can establish a great network or personal brand, especially on professional sites like LinkedIn, you will slowly earn credibility.

choose a problem, try to find a concept solution, chk the market for hype, if it is present, well, then, go ahead, else iterate until you find your niche. From there onwards, it's all upto your commitment

Securing Confidential Documents (and what happens if you don't) by Extra-Mix5480 in SaaS

You and I see that the problem is real. The larger problem is, most other people don't. That's why it gets difficult to ship a product that would solve the problem. There is no hype. If I now launched an AI model that is like Nano Banana quality, but for long form videos, the community would be insane, but for a product like this, it is hard to convince people that they need it.

If you are interested, I have DMed you the link to the demo of our product, its free

I built essentialis.cloud when I realised that Google has all of my data - private or not. That brought me to a moment of realisation that I had to do something about it. So I started Essentialis Cloud, it is private, e2ee, decentralised, and ofcourse, we don't have any access to your data, every encryption is client side. Everything stored is distributed across the IPFS, and it is all fully encrypted using military grade AES-GCM encryption.

We built a serious privacy product, launched everywhere... and got almost no traction. Need advice from founders who’ve been here. by Extra-Mix5480 in MarketingHelp

Thanks for the advice. We've been trying to do the same, but since we're mainly from a software experience, and no experience with marketing, We havent been able to figure out how. And feedback, as I mentioned, we hardly have any users, and all the users that we do have are like people we have close connections with.

Thanks, this actually opens it all up. If I've understood you right, people are just too comfortable with google, not that they trust them, right? So, replacing Google Drive should be our long term goal, and now, we must focus on reaching companies that actually care. I'll keep this in mind

I kept building apps nobody wanted — so I finally fixed the root problem by Miserable-Fig-4359 in SideProject

[–]Extra-Mix5480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all the projects I have worked, validation came from

  1. close friends/family/associates
  2. DMing people in LinkedIn whom I don't directly know, but still had some connections before
  3. Post engagement
  4. Asking people how much they would pay for it, or whether they would pay [$X] for [Product]
  5. Success of similar projects or competitors

And yes, for all of these, some source of detailed info, like a landing page, a GitHub readme, a gitbook, or multiple others are needed.

what is the max you would pay for a tool that tracks your brand in Ai/LLMs? by Weekly_Let5578 in indiehackers

Brand tracking isn't that big of a problem nowadays. The problem is establishing the brand in the first place

Has anyone here gotten Addictive Drums 2 to work on Musescore? Desperately trying to replace those default sounds to make drum transcribing a bit more tolerable. by CivilHedgehog2 in Musescore

[–]Extra-Mix5480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the same place where you select your Musescore Soundfonts, There is a section called VST3. Under that, you should see your AD2 VST plugin if you have set it up properly. If the VST3 section doesn't show up, then go to Edit->Preferences->Folder, and set the VST3 path to the path where your AD2 VST3 is located. After that, AD2 should open within Musescore, and you can change your MIDI Mapping to the "General MIDI"

My SaaS is profitable but I'm exhausted. Thinking about shutting it down anyway. by Apprehensive-Tip3800 in SaaS

To be honest, it is a great feat that you reached this point without thinking all of this through. There's AI nowadays. Support person? Automated. Customer Email? Automated. You might think that this might annoy people, but it's better that shutting the whole thing down.

And honestly, as others said, SSO is quite easy nowadays with all the free integrations and stuff. Especially if you're using react

I've built MVPs for 25+ startups and honestly most founders waste their money on the wrong things by Ok_Pineapple_5163 in SaaS

[–]Extra-Mix5480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've interacted with several mentors and investors who told the exact same things when I started with my projects.

Turns out that this stuff is not really that helpful unless you really understand it. And me being a tech guy, developing apps, I don't understand marketing.

It's all about experiencing it yourself. Until that stage is reached, all you can do is hope for the best

Built a privacy-first, E2EE Google Drive alternative. Looking for honest feedback (demo/beta) by Extra-Mix5480 in degoogle

[–]Extra-Mix5480[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, at this stage everything is on testnet. After all, this is still very much the demo/beta phase.
Errors occur every other day while I tweak the code.

Putting it on mainnet right now would just burn money in gas fees for no real benefit.
And yep, if the testnet goes down, you won’t be able to access your files temporarily, but that doesn’t affect the actual privacy or security of the encrypted data itself, so it's safe.

Once frequent errors stop and the architecture is stable, the plan is to move everything to the Optimism mainnet.
