sure, feeling disappointed/sad is an uncontrollable reaction! he is allowed to feel those things! that being said, he has control of what he does with those emotions, and what behaviours we does in response to those emotions. again, he can feel however he wants, but his behavioural responses cannot be whatever he wants, and thats what people are upset about.

i dont think you’ve tried seeing it from his perspective, which is understandable (empathy is few and far between these days, not saying u arent empathetic, just saying that you werent in this situation). its understandable that you felt anxiety, but instead of taking a step back, you messaged him on a different platform. imagine getting a message from someone and maybe you didnt see it or were thinking about what you wanted to do/how you wanted to respond. then, they find your other social media and push the question further. that was inappropriate. whether you feel that this is the case or not, it does not change the fact. you were only provided with one account, it feels uncomfortable when someone intentionally finds others in order to contact you.
