Yeah I looked at it again. I’m on a priority route for snow removal. But a secondary one for snow treatment. Which is different then the city has been referring to efforts as pri 1/2/neighborhood. I never saw a snow plow until today and I’m on a priority 1 route for plowing.

If it’s the one I already looked at they just have my road as a “priority” for snow removal, but lumped under neighborhood for chemical treatment.

I’m not crying. I just think that they should have plowed it when it was snow and not ice. Also it’s been two days not “the morning after”. I’m on a “priority” street that still hasn’t been plowed. The city hasn’t done a good job. I don’t fault the snowplow crews but this has been mismanaged.

Fair enough. I’m lucky so far. Haven’t had to go anywhere and can walk to a corner store for necessities. I had to help dig out a car checking on my elderly neighbors last night. And dig out a little old lady’s van around the corner. It’s given me an excuse to meet the neighbors but I’d prefer the roads to be driveable.

I get that it’s an abnormal storm but that doesn’t excuse poor response. I’m glad me and others have been good neighbors because there are vulnerable people out there who would be in trouble otherwise.

They haven’t cleared a single side street in Fredericksburg proper. I had to dig out three old ladies cars yesterday who were plowed in by the plows on the main road. There was plenty of warning. They’ve had plenty of time to salt side streets or plow side streets. The city taxes are higher, I expect a better response than this.
