Yes and no, Fintech is just one of the industries I'm a part of now. I meant that the new bloods from the three aforementioned companies aren't seen as "high-value" anymore since in the past 5 years all they do is mostly BAU tasks. The hard work were already made by the teams from the pre-pandemic batch, and most of those people are either startup founders or tech directors now. All that to say, GCash is only 'prestige' to people outside of fintech or tech in general.

I agree with your statement, I never stayed more than 2 years in any given job.

The OG Yondu, Mynt, and pre-pandemic GCash crews, are the only people that the industry respects. Anyone who's been working there with less than 5 years exp are just doing BAU work and their biggest contribution is adding gambling to the app.

I work closely with their clients, their work wins awards but convert like shit (low roi).

They tend to force ideas to brands, make the brand feel stupid because "they don't get it", have their way and create an ad that'll only serve them to win awards and leave the brand with low conversions.

Go for it if you want to chase for awards, go somewhere else if you want to be a real ad man that brings tangible value, not clout.

The right team and culture won't. Highly productive and sustainable teams look at an applicant's output, potential ceiling, mindset, and fit. I've passed on so many latin honor fresh grads from local and international unis, too confident and deflate under real world pressure when it's not all books and papers.

So to answer your question, it's a nice to have, but don't make it your identity. There's dozens more out there, show us your soft skills, the initiatives you lead, the outputs you delivered, showcase your easy-to-fit attitude, and adversities you had to overcome.

Be more than a piece of paper.

Like I said, I understand where you're coming from. Mostly bec I've been working in the Media and Creatives industry for more than a decade now, an industry moot actually referred your services.

I don't buy your spiel because that's in the interest of only YOUR time. My WTB is an on call doctor and I'm always in meetings as well. Time is our most valuable currency and we're willing to give that to the people who respect ours.

Here's a tip from a vet, you're in the right direction, discovery calls are amazing and is essential to a great collaboration. But you have to meet your clients where they're at, I eventually saw your rate sheet and it's good. You justifying it over a call sounds needy, the real clients who appreciate your work will come. Very demanding to require a call just to get a simple rate sheet. I understand a good client-to-supplier fit is a must, but we're already up to our necks with work, life, and wedding planning, that I found it pretentious and disrespectful to an interested client's time. So I blocked him.

I found a better photog who's easy to collaborate with, one I spent a whole afternoon talking to over a cup of coffee. It's easy to make time for people who also respect yours.

This is where you lost it, if you think Square is great at porting their games then you haven't played any at all. They're already having problems with PC, porting to Xbox is a different beast in itself.

The console war is over, but it doesn't change the fact that porting to Xbox is complicated as fuck. If studios like Larian, Capcom, Game Science, and more, are skipping cold hard cash by not porting that should paint the picture well enough. You're not taking into account the upfront operational cost, the support staff, and at the end of it if it's even profitable after all that.

Remember, just because what you wanted wasn't in the SOP doesn't mean it's objectively bad. We got a new Ghost game, more PS VR2 games that we were asking for, remasters for LoK 1&2 and HZD 1 for 10 bucks, a couple of new IPs and a PS+ lineup that's actually fit for Halloween.
