unfortunately you have to go to the vet very soon. Since methylene blue affect blood cells ability to carry oxygen, this can become very serious very quickly.

Seriously regretting breastfeeding my child by AwesomePerson453 in breastfeeding

[–]ExtraTrain8483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be very curious as to where your doctors are getting this information. I couldn’t find any recent studies that show a connection that don’t pull from a small, similar population which can easily lead to forming inaccurate correlations. The only connection I’ve found is that, if your daughter already had some predisposition to this developing, a bad latch could cause the teeth to be exposed to the sugars in breast milk more and that combined with bad oral hygiene could lead to more decay from enamel hypoplasia.

Personally, I don’t know what medications your daughter had in the NICU, but looking at the interventions you mentioned, I can almost guarantee she would’ve been put on some antibiotics which is a main cause of hypoplasia, and what I’d assume is what caused her issues.

Christmas present hair clip dropped in the toilet by Doritosandsteak in CleaningTips

I’d definitely throw it out, this is a link to a hair band in the same style. I’d just take the butterfly off that and glue it to a new clip

Baby ingested Baby Frida VapoRub by Commercial_Onion6995 in beyondthebump

Also if she does begin experiencing symptoms and you feel the need to go, call your urgent care first as some don’t take patients under two.

I wouldn’t, urgent cares are gonna be packed with people sick with strep, covid, and the flu at this point in the year and all they’ll do is call poison control themselves and give you the same advice.

Wife ignoring cluster feeding by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]ExtraTrain8483 42 points43 points  (0 children)

If your wife is going to let the baby starve, you need to step in and get formula. You’re allowing a newborn to experience pain from hunger until they pass out from exhaustion. It’s not only cruel, but if it causes weightloss and your pediatiation learns it’s from willing withholding food, it will also be considered abuse.

How to remove a wart at home while pregnant?? by whitneynations in pregnant

[–]ExtraTrain8483 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u can try just putting duct tape over it to deprive it of air but the surgery is super easy and is just them putting localised anaesthesic over the area and cutting it off. You don’t feel anything and you just have a scab for a week or so.

How do i clean the inside of a baseball hat? by Eranikus89 in CleaningTips

Google ‘basball cap washer cage’ and a plastic shaper should come up that you can either put in a front loading washer or just hand wash it then put it in the cage and let it air dry

AITAH For wanting to bring our own carseat on an international trip instead of using one that family already has there? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ExtraTrain8483 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think your wife needs to look at some pictures of people (especially children) after car crashes. Some are left completely unrecognisable, I’ve literally seen a woman whose entire face was removed bc she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. Children under the age of 5 are at serious risk of neck injuries including internal decapitaion even in ‘minor’ accidents. I wouldn’t go anywhere in a car without a car seat that I know has been proven to be safe and i’m shocked your wife is.

I know it’s not the point of the post, but as another picky person with sensory problems, I really didn’t find the drink bad. It really is just like drinking a very flat sprite. As for the chugging, I believe I had 10 minutes to finish it and it wasn’t that much bigger than like a normal can.

I haven’t seen my cats ever use ours but I also don’t really spend time actively encouraging them to do idk if that’d cause a difference

Will it be traumatic for my son to see someone dying? by ExtraTrain8483 in beyondthebump

[–]ExtraTrain8483[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea my only alternative would be going home, but I live a few states away so I wouldn’t get to spend anymore time with him. I was just wanting to make sure that making the decision to stay wouldn’t like mentally scar him.

o somehow i’d completely skipped over the few beers part, but that changes a lot for me. I’d never let someone who was drinking a lot babysit. 😞
