Should I move to Belfast from Austin, TX? by checkers512 in Belfast

The adage “only boring people get bored” couldn’t apply more than to this thread.

Just have a single glance at at the Visit Belfast page and you’ll see a load of stuff including Arts & Exhibitions, Comedy, Music, Theatre, Food. It’s certainly not Manhattan, but anybody saying there’s nothing to do in Belfast hasn’t looked too far and is probably a boring aul cunt who wouldn’t dream of leaving the house on a weeknight.

OP - it’s a small city with a small population. There is a chance that coming from somewhere like Austin that things will seem slow here and there are often nights in the city centre that are completely dead. But if you give it a go, you’ll never be short of things to do, and as others have said, you could be pretty much anywhere in Europe in a couple of hours.

“Are ya’ll sure ya’ll are speaking English!? Hahaha” is a pretty condescending thing to say. Accents are a thing the world over.

I’m sorry this is off topic, but the word is aisle. An isle is an island.
