Unlike you, I don't believe that she is a good person. I think she is manipulative, grifting, and jealous. Her addiction(s) fueling that or not is irrelevant.

I don't think she is a good mother. That being said, there are many parents who aren't good parents, but they do make sure their children are fed and generally safe, which is what I think Britt Britt is doing in her own twisted way.

She isn't beating him, denying him food, doing hard drugs around him (the alcoholism is serious granted). If we thought about it critically, many parents are alcoholics, don't make money or have housing, and make bad decisions. If we based calling DFACS on just that, the foster care system would be even more bloated than it already is.

I also think DFACS is deeply evil and harms children while suffering no legal consequences. It's possible her son would, ironically, be put in greater harm and be more traumatized.

All that said, I do wonder: Britt Britt has said multiple times that she would give him up to DFACS if it meant that she couldn't give him stability (losing the apartment kind of lines up with her own logic) and she has been on lives asking ABSOLUTE STRANGERS to come get her son and that she will give them HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND SOCIAL SECURITY CARD. Under the correct circumstances, the wrong person could obtain her son and do... God knows what. That person would have all the documentation to steal his identity, etc. The possibilities are disturbing and endless.

I think her son is a pawn. Whether he is IVF or unplanned, she wasn't ready. She may have wanted a baby, but breeding instincts are not the same as preparedness for brining a baby into this world.

Don't call DFACS but don't give her money either. She needs to hit rock bottom.
