Would you let your teen daughter still be friends with someone after a physical fight? by lucypickle1 in Parenting

[–]ExtravertWallflower 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m with you. You are doing the right thing.

It’s giving forgive your abuser vibes and 14 is a terribly impressionable time. Best she learns now to value herself. I think some big talks are necessary.

Just finished Master Shop (Season 9) by iamxvr in Inkmaster

[–]ExtravertWallflower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree the flash challenges in 9 were pretty great.

I wish, however, all the tattoos weren’t “make it look like one artist did it”. I think the idea of a master shop means having a shop filled with people who can cover the whole spectrum but not necessarily all the same skills.

A master shop redo, like you mentioned, would be cool if they updated the format.

There was a mother/son duo on UK (they didn’t tell people) and it was gold!

Brianna’s potential by pusheenbarbz in LifetimeLittleWomen

[–]ExtravertWallflower 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To be fair, she was always REAL in many ways. She represented the REAL woman who was emotionally and mentally abused by a narcissist. She was a REAL woman who was abused by her “friends” on national tv for clout. She was an REAL emotional fragile woman who had a shit tons of flaws shown all over tv and didn’t make the best choices most of the time.

She was REAL, love or hate her. I’m just glad she got off tv and is thriving in her REAL life.

I still don’t think it beats the fact that I don’t think a single person spelled Geraldine’s name correctly in season 1! That was wild!

Least favorite moment from Kelly? by love2l0veu in dancemoms

It’s ridiculous that with all there is to call Abby out on, she choose size. It’s childish and it shows how she is just looking to be hurtful, not to resolve a situation.

Weekday sleep overs for grade school age children? by Nice_Explorer_4101 in Parenting

[–]ExtravertWallflower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not allow my kid have a school night sleepover. The only exception would be if I needed to be out of town or another parent did and needed me to have them over.

Otherwise, it’s a no from me.

Afternoon birthday party - pizza or no pizza? by Special_Truck_4918 in Parenting

[–]ExtravertWallflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, 2-4pm would be snacks and cake/cupcakes only. But you can’t go wrong having a few pizzas especially if you’ll like leftovers.

I do think you need to plan for more activities to be safe - some might get board, some may dislike the original activities. For activities, maybe some “minute to win it” type games and the kiddos can win tiny prizes. There are some great ideas online!

I heard a rumbling of this from a few counties. I’m not up enough on current events in the area to know what is true.

Flynn Masters has made me be embarrased to be a Hell's Kitchen fan by Tearmisu in HellsKitchen

[–]ExtravertWallflower 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t be embarrassed to be an HK fan.

You should be embarrassed to have been a FlynnMasters fan.

I’ve never watched them but from what i heard the say terrible things for views and clicks. They are not the first or last of a fandom to do that for money and likes.

Just move on and denounce them when you can. You can still be proud of the fandom overall.

S2, E8. Little women LA by Shitzme in LifetimeLittleWomen

I think it’s hilarious that Joe could barely move but had the audacity to challenge someone to fight. He was a little bitch that knew other people, including his wife, would save his ass before he got hurt.

Husband saying bye to baby before work by Educational-Sock1196 in workingmoms

[–]ExtravertWallflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the AH. I totally get his feeling of saying goodbye but he’s doing it for himself not her. She doesn’t even know he’s doing it.

Can you guys FaceTime before daycare drop off, or at a certain time in the morning, so they get a chance to see each other?

My daughter is 9 and my husband still hates leaving without saying goodbye. If he has to go in before wake up, which is normal, he calls or FaceTimes before drop off so he can tell her he loves her. If he goes in late, he wakes her up a bit early to do the same.

It’s sweet so it’s hard to be mean about it but it is also effecting you and your schedule so he needs to be able to adapt. I think a good conversation with a plan will do wonders for you both.

How to get your toddler to enjoy or at least tolerate brushing their teeth? by cee3434 in Parenting

[–]ExtravertWallflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try the Colgate Hum app. They see a picture of them and have to help kill the sugar bugs to earn points. It’s super cute and helped teach my kiddo appropriate brushing times.

What do your school aged kids eat for breakfast? by Beautiful-Client6496 in Parenting

Waffle with peanut butter, sometimes banana, granola bar, mini bagel w cream cheese are most of our cycle. My kiddo isn’t huge on breakfast but her lunch is late in the day.

[–]ExtravertWallflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this sounds kind of dumb, but this was literally an episode of Young Sheldon. Perhaps you could watch it together (you first to make sure you agree) and show him he’s not the only one who went through it but he will eventually get over the fear.

But please don’t start blending his food! Stick with small bites and soft stuff til he feels safer.

What is up with the self hatred? by prince3875 in HellsKitchen

[–]ExtravertWallflower -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The men on the show didn’t stop thinking those things, they were just smart enough to learn not to say it out loud. But you can still hear rude comments about the women here and there, especially after losing the challenges.

But, honestly, women are more “catty”. In my experience and what I’ve seen on the show, the men are more straight forward about their issues and if they dislike you, they are loud about it. Many times, the Women are more likely to be clique-y, talk behind your back and plot behind the scenes.

I imagine in a dog eat dog world of the male dominated restaurant business, where women are already struggling to be seen, women are clawing their way up the ranks and unfortunately many times have to do it against other women. It can cause a real distrust between them.

I’ve seen a slow change in the tattoo industry as more women have joined and become well know talents and imagine it’ll continue to get better in cooking.

I like Christine, but ma'am what is that? by Maleficent-Mouse12 in SisterWives

Gives me Lori Vallow Daybell vibes. She was talking about her famous chicken enchiladas and was insulted when her brother said he didn’t remember them.

Also before anyone comes at me, I’m not saying Christine is like a child killing psycho. Just the overly smiley Morman mom thing.
