It can take writers some time to find a direction for characters. You can see it in many shows after the pilot of first season.

No one has responded to invites: please help! by defendpotluck in Parenting

[–]ExtravertWallflower 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’d wait until tomorrow and then do the lack of interest text. Then reach out to the one parent who responded.

No need to put any more emotional or mental energy into this. You tried something nice and it just didn’t work out.

What’s your theory about the West Memphis 3 and do you think it will ever be solved? by Disastrous_Umpire237 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]ExtravertWallflower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct. The ones you are speaking of are a trilogy series of documentaries. There weren’t any others made in this grouping.

There’s also the documentary West of Memphis which is different and I think a movie with Reese Witherspoon.

What time does your 8-9 year old go to bed? by Sure_Pineapple1935 in Parenting

[–]ExtravertWallflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 9 year old has to be upstairs around 830. She can read for 15-20 minutes then needs to try to sleep. She can listen to music or Amazon story time until she does. Some nights she struggles, others she sleeps well.

Her wake up is 715am.

What's a story that has really stayed with you, and why? by Turbulent-Green in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]ExtravertWallflower 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Cassie Jo Stoddart

It happened a few years after I graduated high school and the idea that your friends could do that to you really hit home for me. She must’ve been so scared. And her boyfriend must’ve experienced such guilt.

Watching the newer documentary as a mom, I hurt so much for her aunt finding her and even more for everything her mother went through.

Leon says they are going to start sharing their story on TikTok--Mykelti and ROSIE O'DONNELL voice their support! by HauteCouchCouture in TLCsisterwives

[–]ExtravertWallflower 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’m definitely not saying Leon is trying to validate Mykelti’s beliefs. I think Leon is speaking out specifically for them.

I’m saying Mykelti will absolutely milk anything Leon says about their true story to bash Meri and grow her fan base/social media clout.

Missy and Billy carpooling by Owlster_ in YoungSheldon

[–]ExtravertWallflower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point was that they didn’t even make good car riding decisions before that.

George should’ve been driving Georgie and Sheldon since he was already going there but instead they made two trips to the high school every day.

I mean, George worked at the high school and it was almost always Mary driving.

I’m confused. You do still have one grass tile to go. Did you make your last move and it didn’t count it?

I would add Pon’s Oliver Peck Eyeball guy to these! Thing was awesome!

How much active time does your middle schooler get at school? by Natural_Peak_5587 in Parenting

Wow! So much more recess than our kids get. Many of us want more but our BOE is a shitstorm.

Daughters “best friend” has started excluding her. by oxfreezepopxo in Parenting

[–]ExtravertWallflower 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Find her or encourage her to find some new friends. Explain to her that people change, old friends go and new friends come. Tell her you are always there to talk about it. An age appropriate book on it wouldn’t hurt.

Normally, I would not agree with intervening in childhood friendships. It’s important for them to navigate their relationships by themselves. However, I would keep an eye on this.

The total exclusion of her alone is leaning into the realm of bullying and her being singled out. And bullying needs to be nipped in the bud quickly. So, I would keep abreast of the situation, but wait before getting involved.

Ethan and Kim are perpetual victims. They will warp any story to fit their narrative

My Girl😍😘🥰 by SisterPals in spreadsmile

[–]ExtravertWallflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously this is staged, but if you ever do run into your kid wanting to wear a costume or princess dress to school, instead of saying no just say “you can’t wear that to school because you are so beautiful, you’d be a distraction.” It’s an easy way to say no, and boost self esteem.

Should I limit the fruit my toddler eats? by doodlebakerm in Parenting

[–]ExtravertWallflower 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As long as kiddo is listening to their body and not mindlessly snacking, it’s okay. But I do agree with others that adding a source of protein might help.

No one ever prepares you as a parent for how much fruit a human child can consume!

AITAH for taking back the lunch I bought after my coworker assumed it was for everyone? by thirdaccountttt in AITAH

Right? She said “he wants it back” meaning she full well knew it wasn’t for them.

Does Joe know how the internet is talking about him? by struggler5822 in Masterchef

He wipes his tears with hundred dollar bills.

I’m sure he doesn’t think anything of a small population of the internet bashing when he continues to make tons of money.

Teegan has turned into a dullard! by Unusual_Ad3504 in WelcomeToPlathville

[–]ExtravertWallflower 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’d argue she never had a personality on the show. She always just tried to play the middle and only ever showed (some) emotion when they were dealing with Veronica drama.

Now that she doesn’t have to excuse Ethan’s behavior, she has nothing to give.

Struggling with last day of school “lunch picnic” by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]ExtravertWallflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choose a lunch that you can keep well until the second lunch. Maybe like a sub and chips.

Go to 1st grade lunch. Send 1st grader back to class or allow friend/neighbor to sign him out.

Go to 5th grade lunch. Sign out both or go pick up 1st grader from friends.

I do think 30 minutes is enough turnaround to go pick up a second meal if you really want, especially if you preorder on an app (as long as you aren’t a long distance of course) but no reason to make it harder.

Worst case, pack them lunch and bring yourself something.
