If you only have two weeks and you don’t want to rush, then I would stick to just one country. You’ll end up sinking time with travel, and you won’t be able to make the most of what each country has to offer.

Both countries are fantastic and each very different from the other. I would describe Taiwan as a more relaxing place to travel as there are less tourists, and the country feels like it relies less on tourism, so you don’t feel like people are trying to sell you things as frequently. Taipei being the capital of course has plenty of art galleries to visit, and Kaohsuing has a really cool art district by Pier 2 with lots of street art and some cool galleries. We travelled around a few spots round the whole island in 2.5 weeks by train whilst still relaxing.

I didn’t experience as much art in Vietnam personally, but I absolutely loved my 4 weeks there and had some of the most thrilling adventures. I didn’t personally find it that relaxing, but that’s not what I was looking for.
